McFlyn haastattelu Harry Potterin ensi-illasta:

"School pool opened by McFly star

BASSIST Dougie Poynter, from pop band McFly, formally opened a new £100,000 swimming pool at his old school.
The ex-pupil of Corringham Primary School, in Herd Lane, Corringham, was joined by Thurrock mayor Charlie Curtis to unveil a commemorative plaque for the new pool, built with money raised from the Parent and Teacher Association.
Michelle Hobbs, former chairman of the association, who helped with fundraising, said: “Dougie learnt how to swim in the old pool, so it is lovely he was involved with the opening.
“The former pool and the building, which was made out of corrugated plastic, was old and condemned, so five years ago the association decided to raise money for a new one.”

"McFly's Dougie Poynter: I'd like to date Emma Watson
Dougie fancies an Emma to help him get over Frankie Sandford.
Dougie Poynter has spent much of this year heartbroken, but now he's feeling confident and ready to date again.
And the cute McFly guitarist has his eye on 2 girls in particular.
'If I could date anyone right now it'd be Emma Roberts or Emma Watson,' Dougie, 23, tells the Daily Star.
'I tried to get to Emma Watson the other day at the Harry Potter premiere, but she must have been pre-warned about me.'
Dougie split from Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, 22, in November and later completed a stay in rehab.
'Thanks for all your support, really means allot x,' Dougie Tweeted to his followers after he left the Priory in March.
'Now can we get back to tweeting about boobs, d*cks and farts?'"

"Mcfly - Mcfly Stars Climbing Mountain For Charity
Mcfly stars Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd are preparing to don their climbing boots to scale Scotland's Ben Nevis mountain for charity.
The British musicians are in training for the trek this summer (11) and are planning to donate all the funds raised to help educate underprivileged kids in boarding schools on the Peruvian island of Amantani.
And the bandmates have made the challenge extra tough, by agreeing to carry the equivalent weight of a child in their backpacks on the climb.
In a post on his Twitter.com page, Judd writes, "Any kind of donation to our justgiving page will go a long way. Leave a message when you donate so Tom and I can read them!"
Fletcher admits his training is in full swing, and he climbed Mount Snowdon in Wales on Thursday (14Jul11) for a practice run.
He tells his Twitter fans, "Tweeting from the summit of Mount Snowdon. Not bad for a morning's work."

"MCFLY MATES LET RIP
McFLY'S newly-engaged Tom Fletcher, 26, is in for a painful stag do.
McFly bandmate Harry Judd, 25, told us: “We’ve been talking about a few ideas for Tom.
“My friend got married the other day and his stag do started by getting his back, sack and crack done.
“So I definitely think that’s first on the list!”
Danny Jones, 25, added: “I’d be worried about getting a little excited as the beautician has to touch it.”

"There’s a new McFly album on its way! And the boys want YOUR input
You may have heard (particularly if you’re a McFly fan, which of course, a lot of you are) that the lovely four have won an award this week. A Nordoff Robbins Silver Clef award, in fact!
The band won the American Express Digital Innovation award for their incredible website on Friday afternoon – which is a big one within industry circles – and, well, they decided to celebrate by sharing some good news with us. Well done them!
Tom told us, “We’ve just started showing each other our new songs, and what we’ve each come up with. The last album was more of a collaboration of sounds as we were working with people like Taio [Cruz] and Dallas [Austin] – but this time it’s going to be different. We’ll know what the stand out sound will be by the end of the year.”
“It’s going to be more polished stuff,” added Dougie (who by the way was getting all the ladies' attention in his Captain Jack Sparrow-esq headgear). “This time, we’re going to live with the songs for a while and get them sounding better and better. At the moment it’s sounding like quite chilled, acoustic stuff but we’ll see how each song develops.”
Excited? You should be! The boys also said they were thrilled that they were being recognised by Nordoff Robbins for all their hard work on their Super City site, which they created themselves. “The website was a real experiment, we funded it all ourselves and it’s amazing that we’ve been recognised for it," smiled Tom. "It’s amazing that it’s actually worked. It’s coming up to a year now since it started running and we know what needs improving.”
Dougie concluded, “I like the idea of fans getting involved with the band decisions too. By the time we release this next album – probably next year – there’ll be loads of ways to get them involved online.”
Eek! You heard it here first – you could be helping the boys with their next LP. Stay tuned to heatworld and we’ll let you know how that comes along!"

"MCFLY HAVE GOT THE ITCH
INNOVATION Award winners McFly are ploughing ahead with yet another innovative pop record.
McFly, whose Supercity disc was a joint online venture with their record label, are itching to lay down new tracks.
Singer Tom Fletcher, 25, told me: “We have lots of new ideas.”
Drummer Harry Judd, also 25, added: “People thought we went more pop or more rock last time, which surprised us, but McFly are here to stay.”
I’m very glad lads.
And singer/guitarist Danny Jones, 25, promises his solo side project won’t interfere with the band.
He told me: “I have some songs with DJs coming out this summer but McFly is my priority.”
Huzzah."

"Tom Fletcher - Fletcher's Mcfly Bandmates Will Be Best Men
British pop star Tom Fletcher has enlisted all three of his Mcfly bandmates to take on the role of best man at his upcoming wedding.
The musician proposed to his long term girlfriend Giovanna Falcone in April (11) and they plan to exchange vows next May (12).
MCFly drummer Harry Judd has now revealed Fletcher couldn't choose between his friends for the role of chief groomsman - so he asked all three to be best men.
Judd tells Britain's Daily Star Sunday, "All three of us are best men and there's a bit of competition to see who can do the best job."

Music on the Hill -arvostelu, hyväntekeväisyys, Zukie

"McFly
From the screams that emanate from the crowd when they catch even a glimpse of a member of McFly (10/10) it’s pretty obvious what we’re dealing with here. The 4-piece take to the stage and storm into recent hit “Party Girl” and it’s pop at its saccharine best. It’s simple but it works and it’s easy to see where comparisons to The Beatles and The Beach Boys come from. On record McFly are as slick and polished as everything else in the charts but there’s something about this band live that has real edge. Tracks like “Lies” off their self-released album “Radio:ACTIVE” aren’t a far cry away from bands such as All Time Low and Simple Plan and this poses another question- If McFly had been marketed differently, could they have been featured in magazines such as Kerrang or Rocksound? They’re a lot heavier than a fair few pop-punk bands featured in those publications and they’re certainly a lot better live than most, plus, the songwriting itself is faultless.
Lead singer Danny holds the crowd in the palm of his hand whether it’s telling them to get up or get down and everyone does what they’re told. He leaps around the stage and spins like a pinwheel during breakthrough single “The Girl With 5 Colours In Her Hair” and bassist Dougie could easily be playing in a hardcore band the amount he rocks out. An acoustic medley of “It’s All About You/Obviously” reminds everyone why they fell in love with the band in the first place and for those like myself who were fairly ambivalent towards the group shows how gifted these individuals are. It’s really obvious when an artist or band dials in a performance. You can just tell. Yet even though McFly do this every single day, they play as if their lives depend on it and they put every part of themselves into it.
It’s genuinely nice to see a band at this level play for themselves whilst at the same time make sure everyone in the crowd is entertained. As mentioned earlier, a full live band enhances live sound to no end, example given- Tinie Tempah. It’s funny then that McFly play a cover of the aforementioneds hit “Pass Out” complete with a reggae breakdown and surprisingly it’s brilliant. Yes, it may show how White and Middle Class McFly actually are, but it’s funny as hell and they pull it off perfectly; a moment only topped by Dougie saying “Penis” then suddenly regretting it given the average age of the crowd.
McFly are truly impressive, although it may take neigh-sayers a while to warm to this opinion; it’s pretty hard to change peoples perceptions of bands especially if they listen to rock or metal but it’s well worth it. Pop is in all music to a degree and if you’re already bordering by listening to YouMeAtSix or Forever The Sickest Kids you really should give McFly a chance. Quite simply they’re one of the best pop bands working today and by far one of the best live acts the mainstream has to offer. Exceptional night."
