"Tom Fletcher isn’t looking McFly
TOM Fletcher from McFly is getting stick from fans about his new 'tache.
The singer has been showing it off over the past week but says it hasn't gone down well with fans.
He said: "I've never had so much abuse. They really don't like it."
Apparently Ian Rush loves it."

"Tom McFly's fans hate his tache – but what do YOU think?
Facial hair on a man usually goes one of two ways, in our experience. It can either look manly and hot (hello Tom Selleck in Friends) or puny and awful (hello Zac Efron last April).
Tom from McFly, however, has divided opinion with his new top-lip sprouting, with some of us hailing it cute and others declaring it an abomination. Tom himself has admitted to getting a fair amount of grief over it, saying about his fans this week, "I've never had so much abuse. They really don't like it." We have it on good authority that Tom's beautiful fianceé Giovanna Falcone does, in fact, like the 'tache, and we suppose that's all that really matters.
We wonder why he decided to grow it in the first place? Do you suffer from Coldupperlipitus, Tom? Or did you lose a bet with one of the other McFly boys? We think Danny, Dougie and Harry should all grow one, too, so we could have a 'Tache-Off contest. Do you have an opinion on Tom's facial fuzz? If so, please tell us about it below."

"Mcfly - Mcfly Stars Climb Mountain For Charity
Mcfly stars Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd are celebrating after scaling Scotland's Ben Nevis mountain for charity on Sunday (07Aug11).
The British musicians trekked to the top of the peak to raise funds for underprivileged kids in boarding schools on the Peruvian island of Amantani.
The bandmates made the challenge extra tough by agreeing to carry the equivalent weight of a child in their backpacks during the climb, and later took to their Twitter.com pages to share their experience with fans.
Fletcher declared, "We did it!!! Me and @mcflyharry climbed Ben Nevis with a B**Ody heavy weight on our backs. Reached the summit in 3 hour 25 (minutes) in miserable weather.
"I won't lie...it was tough! That Peruvian kid was heavy! Only stayed at the summit for 5mins coz (because) of the bad conditions."
Judd adds, "Climbing Ben Nevis isn't too hard, but climbing it with 16kg on your back is Really Hard!! Thank you so much for all your donations. The money raised by all the climbers today will go towards educating Peruvian teenagers for a whole year."

"Draco Malfoy’s flying with Tom Fletcher
HARRY POTTER bully Tom Felton isn't someone to be intimidated by a dodgy tache.
Of course he's not.
The actor is going to be working with McFly singer Tom Fletcher as he embarks on a new career in music.
The two Toms have booked in writing and jamming sessions which they are hoping will lead to a collaboration on the debut album by Harry Potter's nemesis, Draco Malfoy.
A source said: "Tom sounded out McFly's Tom to discuss the industry and the musical direction he wants to take.
"He's a huge fan of the boys and wanted to work on a few songs.
"There is a big chance the pair could soon go into the studio together."
Tom already has a recording deal with an independent record label. He has previously hinted about becoming a rapper and getting into the UK grime scene - but McFly-style pop rock seems a better fit.
Perhaps without the questionable facial hair, though.
The Potter stars are increasingly turning to music rather than acting now that the blockbuster film series of the JK Rowling classics is finished.
Rupert Grint was spotted last week at a gig in LA with comedy metal group Steel Panther.
He even donned a bandana and guy-liner while hanging out with the group.
And Harry himself, Daniel Radcliffe, is a big fan of indie bands such as Radiohead and Mogwai.
Though that hasn't stopped him from starring in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying - a jazz-hands musical on Broadway."

"McFly gearing up for Hampton Court's Jolly Day Out festival
THEY are used to performing in front of thousands of screaming fans in arenas and stadiums around the world.
But at the end of August, pop scoundrels Mcfly will be playing at Hampton Court's very own summer festival, Jolly Day Out.
It will be a festival of a different kind, with the band sharing a stage with children's TV characters Charlie and Lola, and Horrible Histories.
Dougie Poynter, 23, bass player in the band, said: "It'll be something a bit different for us to play a family festival like this one, but we're all looking forward to it.
"After eight years together, we still enjoy playing live shows, because that's what we are all about. That's what we do.
"In fact we enjoy it more than ever now. We certainly have more energy on stage than in the early days because we're much less nervous about what we're doing.
"We don't even have to think about what we're doing when we're playing the early stuff. Songs like Five Colours in Her Hair (the band's first single) just come automatically.
"This festival might attract a slightly different crowd from the usual. But I have known some of our hardcore fans, after we put a song on our first album called 'Broccoli,' I have known them throw broccoli onto the stage.
"Mostly its underwear and teddies and things. I'm not sure whether we'll get any of that this time.
"This will be a cool place to play though. I've spent a fair bit of time in Richmond Park and other parts of the area, so I know it quite well."
Jolly Day Out is being held over four days on the August Bank Holiday weekend, on the green opposite Hampton Court Palace.
Irish singer Imelda May will be performing on Friday (26), followed by Abba tribute act Bjorn Again on Saturday, McFly on Sunday (28) and Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music on Bank Holiday Monday.
There will also be food, drink and kids activities throughout the weekend.
Dougie explained that this will draw to a close a busy tour schedule for the boys who have been on the road for most of the year.
He said: "We have done a few summer gigs as part of our Above the Noise tour, and we've been over to Japan, and all around this country.
"But we're keen to get back into the studio to record some new material.
"In the past few days we have been getting together and sharing our ideas for new songs - one of them we're planning a collaboration with a female singer. We're not sure who
that will be yet, but its kind of a his side of the story, her side of the story thing.
"We're definitely still enjoying it though, even after so long, and have lots of exciting plans for the future."
Tickets to Jolly Day Out cost £25, and under 12s go free."

"Race against time
OF all the sure bets at Doncaster Racecourse tomorrow McFly drummer Harry Judd says they will guarantee a return.
The posh skin-beater knows the boys-to-blokes band will be playing to a huge crowd that might be more into nags than pop but reckons they’re still on to a winner.
“We’ve played a few racecourses before and they’re good fun,” he says.
“There’s often a good chunk of hardcore fans, but what I enjoy about these gigs is there’s often a lot of people who wouldn’t necessarily come and see a McFly concert. They go away, nine times out of 10, having enjoyed themselves.
“We always try to put on a good show. I think that’s where we excel. Mums and dads take their kids and end up enjoying it themselves. We’re confident in our abilities as a live band so we enjoy these kind of gigs.”
Then McFly have had to get used to evolving audiences down the years. Seven UK number one singles and five top 10 albums later they are still pulling similar sized crowds to when they were teenagers - and a sweep of their Motorpoint Arena gig in March revealed a varied demographic most bands would envy.
“I presume that happens when you’ve managed to stick around for a while,” says Harry, who doesn’t believe having such as spread of ages has held them back from being a little more rock ‘n’ roll.
“Fact is, we’re really appreciative we can still play in arenas. That’s really how we judge it. We’ve been really lucky in terms of our creative control over the years with what we’ve wanted to do on albums and as a live band, we’ve been really fulfilled. The last thing we want to do is complain.”
Certainly McFly not so much broke the mould as raised the bar for other young acts, emerging eight years ago when Tom Fletcher decided to turn his song-writing pen from Busted to his own quartet.
Since then the lads have grown physically and, to an extent, musically having found arena filling an easy vocation. They’ve managed to avoid getting stuck in a creative pop ruck, putting in twists and turns along the way which have kept the loyal hordes interested as well as lured new fans.
“That’s often the challenge for a band, but the beauty of McFly is everything has come from us; McFly is the four of us, not songwriters writing songs for us. It’s not people telling us how we should be or behave. What the fans see is the genuine article. People get what they see, basically.”
Most recent album Above The Noise was arguably a record they needed to do, a kind of graduation badge for a young man band who can still spin out youthful chart-tickling melodies, but with less sherbet.
“Whether we’re successful in the future or not I’m convinced Tom and the guys are some of the most talented songwriters in the country. I believe that and that’s how a band remains successful.”
McFly even managed to throw in a bit of a clichéd rock ‘n’ roll drama when bassist Dougie Poynter sought rehab for stress over his split with The Saturdays’ Frankie Sandford.
“It’s a stereotypical thing, but we’ve all been through a lot in the past eight years,” says Harry, who admitted to a fling with train wreck actress Lindsay Lohan.
“We’ve grown up together being in a band. It’s been an interesting upbringing.”
And while early favourites such as 5 Colours In Her Hair and All About You sound a tad twee in 2011, the lads have tried to beef up their approach, along with some of their stage props, amid slightly less high-pitched yelling.
Harry denies frustration being at the back unable to flaunt it like the other lads when the screaming was at full volume. “Definitely not. I’m very happy behind the drums...I get enough attention. The guys are brilliant at what they do. I’d be crap up the front, so I’m perfectly happy in my job.
“But my drum kit has got bigger over the years. I recently acquired LEDs and I’ve had all sorts of crazy drum risers and stuff. One could say subconsciously that’s because I want more attention, but we try to put on a good show, so that’s how I justify it.”
This weekend the thing the band will need most is for traffic to be light. With plenty of outdoor shows booked, tomorrow they’ll be giving Burnley 45 minutes before rushing to South Yorkshire for a further 90 minutes.
“Two gigs in one day is pretty intense but we’re ready for it. Often it’s quite interesting doing something weird like that. We’ll enjoy the challenge.”
And after their summer excursions? The lads are planning a writing trip before returning to the studio.
In the meantime, are they likely to have a punt on the gee-gees tomorrow – or maybe even look to invest some of their fortune in bloodstock at Town Moor?
“Danny likes to have a go, but I’m not a gambling man,” says Harry. “And I can’t see a racehorse happening any time soon... there are so many other things we’re passionate about that require a certain amount of financial investment.”

"Forget NKOTBSB, could McFly and One Direction be the new super group?
Ah, well we can but dream. But it sounds like two of the country’s hottest boybands are in cahoots at the moment – with Tom Fletcher (of McFly fame) hitting the studio with newbies One Direction yesterday for a “jam”. Yum.
The McFly singer tweeted yesterday, “Wicked day in the studio with some bloomin talented guys who are gonna be HUGE! Had a jam with @NiallOfficial today. He taught me What Makes You Beautiful and I taught him Shine A Light.”
And we don’t know about you, but this makes us very, very happy. Imagine if both bands got together to make beautiful music? Imagine, just image that?
It wasn’t long before Liam Payne from 1D tweeted a picture of him, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan with Tom too – and Niall got in on the action by tweeting, “Sittin here with @tommcfly playing guitar. Hes teaching me to play all their songs.haha. Really really nice guy!sick musician”. Even lovely Louis Tomlinson very sweetly thanked Tom for coming over with a sweet and succinct, "@tommcfly Thanks for yesterday man!”
Will we ever get to hear One Direction do Shine A Light? We hope so. Will McFly cover What Makes You Beautiful at their show in Doncaster Racecourse today? Who knows. Either way, we’re happy to see these two bands bonding. And maybe one day they’ll do a NKOTBSB (who sound like their having a pretty awesome time as a super group by the way)."

"McFly cover Tinie Tempah at Summer Sundae 2011
It's an eventful closing set from the group
McFly covered Tinie Tempah's 'Pass Out' during an eventful headline set on Summer Sundae Weekender 2011's final day.
The four-piece, augmented by a keyboard player and two backing singers, opened with 'Party Girl', and were faced with the weekend's biggest crowd, with a hardcore of screaming fans waving banners at the front.
Bassist Dougie Poynter took centre stage for 'Transylvania', with drummer Harry Judd begging him to "sing it properly" and joking that the full moon looked like singer/guitarist Tom Fletcher.
The band played hits 'Star Girl', and '5 Colours In Her Hair', which featured an extended outro where singer/guitarist Danny Jones fired t-shirts into the crowd.
A PA announcement about a missing child led the band to start a chant of the boy's name, jokingly declaring themselves "heroes" when he was found.
A medley of 'All About You' and 'Obviously' followed, along with the 'Pass Out' cover, which saw Jones at the crowd barriers, and main set closer 'The Heart Never Lies'.
The band then encored with 'One For The Radio' and 'Shine A Light' before bidding farewell."

"Frankie Sandford and boyfriend Wayne Bridge avoid Dougie Poynter at festival
Frankie Sandford and boyfriend Wayne Bridge hid out at Burnley FC this weekend to avoid bumping in to her ex Dougie Poynter at the Towneley Live Festival.
The couple were joined by the rest of The Saturdays, who were on the bill for the concert along with Dougie's band McFly.
'Organisers arranged transport for the girls so they would arrive at the festival site once McFly had left,' says a source.
'They both made it clear that they respect each other's privacy, so it was more to make sure there wasn't any unnecessary awkwardness.'
Frankie, 22, and Dougie, 23, broke up in November after dating on-off for 2 years, with the McFly guitarist receiving treatment in The Priory soon after the split.
Fortunately, McFly's slot was at 3pm while the girls' was later, so they simply waited it out in the glamorous surroundings of the football club.
'They were able to stay out of the way until their stage slot later in the afternoon,' the source tells the Daily Mirror.
'They didn't get to Towneley Park until McFly had headed off to another gig in Manchester.'"

"MCFLY LOVE ONE DIRECTION
McFLY are so impressed by One Direction’s debut single they wish it was their tune.
X Factor boyband One Direction drop debut track What Makes You Beautiful on September 11.
And it reminds me of early McFly tracks.
Drummer Harry Judd, 25, told my reporter Mik Curtis at the Summer Sundae festival in Leicester: “They’re young, like when we started, so it makes me feel old. But it’s a compliment to us if people think they sound like early McFly.
“I wish we had their new single for ourselves – it’s fresh.”
Singer Tom Fletcher, 26, agreed: “They’re a really likeable bunch of guys and they’ve got everything it takes to hit the big time.
“They’ve recorded a song I wrote for them – I just hope they use it.”
After their breakthrough in 2004, McFly certainly know a thing or two about longevity and don’t have to fear any new whippersnappers.
Bassist Dougie Poynter, 23, said: “Music goes full cycle so it’ll come back round for McFly, but the urban thing has made it hard for us to stay relevant.
“We don’t move with the trends.”
Tom added: “We’re at the early stages of writing new stuff.
“It’s fun playing it to each other.
“And we’ll be touring the UK early next year most likely.”
