"McFly Talks Coming to America, New Music & One Direction
British Pop Group to Play Targeted U.S. Dates for Dedicated Fans

THE ONE DIRECTION CONNECTION
Certainly, the recent success in the U.S. by fellow British pop groups The Wanted and One Direction have focused attention on what other British acts might cross the pond. Fletcher himself is a fan of One Direction, and wrote the song "I Want" for the group's debut album, "Up All Night."
"When I was in the studio with them, I was like, 'Guys, you don't understand, you're going to be massive,'" Fletcher says. "They're all awesomely talented guys, stupidly good-looking of course, as well. Young. They've got everything. They've got the whole package. But none of them realized it. They're all very humble and down to earth. It just reminded me of exactly of how we were like when we started."
"When McFly busted out of the gate in 2004, the four gents -- Fletcher, co-lead singer and guitarist Danny Jones, drummer Harry Judd and bassist Dougie Poynter -- were all in their late teens and found themselves with a decidedly youthful, female fan base. Not terribly far from the demographic that is courted by One Direction.

Since then, McFly has grown up and seen their fans become more diverse. Recently, the band has expanded its appeal to a wider (and older) audience, thanks to three-quarters of the act appearing on reality TV competitions. Most notably, Judd won the latest edition of "Strictly Come Dancing" (the parent show of America's "Dancing With the Stars"), while in December, Poynter was crowned champion of the famous-people-stuck-in-a-jungle show "I'm a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!"

MCFLY - THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY
Also on tap for later this year, McFly's first book -- an autobiography.
"We've been a band for almost nine years this summer, (so) we have quite a few stories to tell," Fletcher says. "It just feels like we're at a nice stage in our career and in our lives. And our audience now is old enough to hear some of the slightly more risque stories."
Fletcher puts it bluntly: "Boys in bands get up to exactly what you think boys in bands get up to."
"Even if you're not a fan of McFly, I think it's just quite an interesting insight into what goes on when you're in a band when you're 15-25, for ten years."
McFly almost released a book early on in its career, but "scrapped it because we hated it so much." Fletcher dismissed it as a "photobook with a few little stories."
"I think (the autobiography is) going to be a very honest tale of what we've experienced over the last eight years."

SUPER CITY AND BEYOND
On Oct. 1, 2010, McFly launched its official website and elevated fan club, Super City. Members pay a fee to receive access to a wealth of exclusive content (video and otherwise) via mcfly.com. The band even gave away its then-new "Above the Noise" album to its members as a download on Nov. 1 -- two weeks ahead of its physical release.
After some initial bumps (the site was swamped by so many visitors upon launch, it was forced to shut down for two weeks), the service is running smoothly.
"Our whole philosophy with the site was to (give) complete access to us. And I still don't think we've really achieved that," Fletcher says. "I still think one day that's going to be completely possible -- for fans to watch us as we write songs and hear songs before they've been released and watch us as we're recording and maybe even have a say. That was our whole thing -- fans should have an interactive part to play in a band's kind of life."
Perhaps members can be invited into the studio when McFly records the next album?
Fletcher: "Well, absolutely. Depends where we record I guess. Might record in America!"

Kiitos. (ja hyvää vappua!)

Tomin ja Ramin Karimloon haastis, Tomin Blackbird-cover, kiertueartikkeleita...

"Interview: Tom Fletcher and Ramin Karimloo
The singing stars talk nudity, weddings and forward fans over lunch at Kettner's.
WHO said rock ’n’ roll and stage musicals don’t make great companions?
You’d never believe it, but McFly’s founding member and key songwriter Tom Fletcher and West End star Ramin Karimloo, best known from Les Misérables and The Phantom Of The Opera, are best buddies – and are even threatening to make some music together one of these days!
‘I’m a huge musical theatre fan, and it’s part of my upbringing,’ says 26-year-old Tom, who reminds us that he took the lead role in Oliver! when he was ten years old.
‘So when I first bumped into Ramin a few years ago, I had to get some tickets to see him in Love Never Dies, and then we went out for a meal. That’s where our friendship kicked off.’
As for Olivier-nominated Ramin, who was born in Iran but grew up in Canada, there’s clearly a rock ’n’ roller waiting to come out from behind the grandeur of his stately stage roles.
‘My favourite band of all time is Canadian rock group the Tragically Hip – and Tom and I have been working on a song together, so watch this space!’ says the 33-year-old heart-throb, whose self-titled debut album is released next week.
After the album comes Ramin’s UK tour as a solo artist, so he might well be taking tips about life on the road from Tom, who’s currently in the midst of McFly’s national tour himself.
And after that, there’s another little event to keep Tom busy – his long-awaited wedding to fiancée Giovanna Falcone, which will be covered exclusively in the pages of OK! this May.
Both very busy guys, then – so imagine our delight when we nailed them down for a lads’ lunch at glamorous Soho brasserie Kettner’s, one of London’s oldest restaurants and just a stone’s throw from the Queen’s Theatre, Ramin’s recent home as Jean Valjean in Les Misérables, where he was mobbed by screaming fans at the stage
door every night…

How do you two know each other?
Ramin: My wife Amanda was going to Peter Andre’s concert, and she sat beside McFly in Nando’s nearby.
She was taking three teenage girls and they wanted a photo, so Amanda went over to the guys and said she was really sorry to do this, and she knew what it was like because her husband is in the business.
They asked: ‘Who is he?’ and she said: ‘He’s the Phantom in Love Never Dies.’
And Tom went: ‘Your husband’s Ramin?’ He knew me!
So she sorted him out some tickets, and before the show he came backstage to my dressing room, we started jamming, and we’ve carried on ever since.
Tom: I’m a huge musical theatre fan, so I’d already seen Ramin perform a few times.
I went to theatre school, it’s my background.
I’d always wanted to be in musical theatre as a kid, and I played guitar since I was five, but I never really imagined myself being in a band.

Might the two of you actually do something musical together?
Ramin: We’ve got half a song written and it’s actually pretty catchy.
The thing about Tom is that he’s a good actor and he’s got a great voice – so he’d make a great Marius in Les Misérables now!
I think it’s his turn to do something in the West End. I’d love us to finish our song, but I’d also love to do a show with him.
It would be weird for him to be Marius and me to be Jean Valjean. I’d have to carry him around the stage – but he looks light enough!

Tom, your wedding in May isn’t far
away now. How much are you and your fiancée Giovanna looking forward to
 tying the knot?
We can’t wait. We’re in the final stages of planning it and we’re very excited.
I’ve had moments of mild panic – we’ve been planning it for so long, and then you realise it’s only a matter of weeks away, as opposed to months!
I’ve been with my fiancée for nine years now, so the fact that we’re finally getting married is really brilliant. I just can’t wait for it to happen.

Will it be a big wedding?
It’s turning into quite a big bash. I’m in charge of entertainment, which is the last thing to be organised, typically!
We’ll have a band there – not officially McFly – but I’m sure, once everybody’s had a few glasses of champagne, and with some guitars and drums there, there’s not much doubt we’ll do something – especially Danny [Jones], you won’t be able to stop him from getting up on stage!

Do you think married life will change you?
Probably not. We’ve been living together for five years now, and we’ve been together through the whole period of McFly, so it kind of feels we’re married already.
I can’t wait to have kids – eventually!
I’m looking forward to the day when the whole band has kids – and we have a separate kids’ bus to take them around on tour. A nursery bus!

Tom, now that your fellow McFly members Harry Judd, Dougie Poynter and Danny Jones have done reality
TV shows, when are you going
to be doing one?
I don’t know, I just don’t think I could cope with all that pressure.
Watching Harry on Strictly Come Dancing and seeing the pressure – he worked his a**e off on that, and he’s been touring with them, it’s a big commitment.
I’m so proud of Harry. We went to see the show the other night on tour in Cardiff.
I think if I ever got involved in a reality show, it would be on the judging side, and something music related.

Do you regret saying you’d agree to be photographed naked if Harry won Strictly? Whose idea was that?
Danny’s! He did it when Dougie won I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here!. Then he said on Twitter, if Harry wins Strictly we’ll all do it.
I think I’m so used to being naked on magazine covers – there’s always a pic of us taking our kit off. Even my mum’s got used to it now.

Ramin, do you know the other McFly boys too?
I’ve got to know Danny and Dougie now – and Harry a little bit, but the last time I was hanging around with the band he was touring with Strictly.
What I like about the guys, and what a lot of people don’t realise, is that they’re a really good rock band.
They started off as kids but they’re men now, who write some great stuff.

Are your sons musical?
They’re just picking up the guitar now, and they sing all the time, but I don’t want to push them into that.

Are they fans of McFly?
They are massive fans of McFly – and then they met them. We went to Tom’s fiancée Giovanna’s birthday party, and there was Matt Willis and Dougie on the couch, so I said to the boys: ‘Do you want a photo with the two kings of the jungle?’

Tom, what’s your favourite McFly song?
There are too many! Some of the new ones – that’s the way it goes, I think.
All About You, of course, was such an amazing song for us, just because it was so big and it holds a special place for me.
Out of the last album, Shine A Light is the stand-out song for me.

Has Giovanna got a favourite McFly song?
All About You was written for Giovanna – it was my Valentine’s gift to her about six years ago.
I’d forgotten to give her a Valentine’s Day present and I was going over to her house quite late, because I still lived with the band then, so I swiftly wrote a song, which was All About You, and played it to her, and she thought it was amazing.
After that, Comic Relief got in touch with us and talked about doing a song for them, and I played them that and they loved it.

I never intended it to be a McFly song!"

"McFly's Tom Fletcher posts acoustic Blackbird cover

...and makes us all cry.
Oh Tom Fletcher you wiley vocal champion you.
The McFly maestro has posted a new video of himself singing a beautiful cover of Blackbird by The Beatles, and it's made us all go weak at the knees.
Obviously the moody-and-a-bit-sexy black and white helps with the intensity, but it's generally just a bloody brilliant cover, and we'd like to see him do some more please.

T in the Park, Deal or No Deal (Ota tai Jätä), Tom kirjoittaa taas One Directionille

- "Noel Edmonds will be a contestant on Deal or No Deal!" - Unreality TV

McFly esiintyy 8. heinäkuuta T in the Park -festivaalilla Baladossa, Kinross-Shiressä, Skotlannissa. Siitä julkaistiin useita lehtiartikkeleita:

Tom kuulemma kirjoittaa kappaleita One Directionin uudelle levylle:

"McFly to write for new One Direction album
McFly have revealed that they will be writing tracks for One Direction's next studio album.
Singer Tom Fletcher said that he will be penning more songs for the boyband after contributing 'I Want' to their debut album Up All Night, which reached number one in the US last week.
"I can't wait to write more tunes for One Direction as I'm really proud of their success in America," Fletcher told the Daily Star.
"I haven't been given a brief as to what kind of song they want from me; we're just waiting to see what I come up with."
The singer-songwriter insisted that One Direction can benefit from McFly's nine years' experience in the music industry, as they have been through similar experiences themselves.
He added: "Some songwriters have never been in a band, but the One Direction guys can relate to me, as I've been through the same kind of experiences as they have.
"When I've been in the studio with them, the manic atmosphere was just the same as when we made our debut."
McFly drummer Harry Judd recently told Digital Spy that the band took their success for granted and "realised how hard it was to get people interested again" after releasing their last album Above The Noise."

Sport Relief - Harry ja Aliona tanssivat veden alla, lehtijuttuja kiertueesta

Tässä tuo erittäin upea vedenalainen tanssi Harryltä ja hänen Strictly Come Dancing -tanssiparilta Alionalta:

Entertainment Wise kirjoitti asiasta:

"Harry Judd’s Underwater Waltz For Sport Relief
Chelsee Healey also takes part in the Strictly stunt
Last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd and runner-up Chelsee Healey have accessorised their spangly dancing outfits with scuba gear to film a breathtaking underwater waltz for the upcoming episode of Sport Relief this Friday.
The pair will certainly make a splash with their respective partners Aliona Vilani and Pasha Kovaley in this stunning, never-seen-before stunt.
McFly drummer Harry told The Sun: “When I first heard about Strictly Underwater, I thought, 'How is that going to work?'. I didn't quite understand what they meant and I didn't think it would work – but it does.”

Waterloo Road actress Chelsee admitted to being scared about taking part, admitting: “I wouldn't say I'm a strong swimmer and I'm not keen on water. I like a bath in it but that's about as far as it goes.”
We can’t wait to see the former Strictly stars dance to Take That’s ‘The Flood’ and Bobby Darin’s ‘Beyond The Sea!’"

And now I'm running in circles, feels like I'm losing my mind

Viime viikolla julkaistiin tieto siitä, että Tom ja Dougie ovat kirjoittamassa lasten kirjaa - ihan kuin vain yksi kirja riittäisikin McFlylle! Tässä artikkeli aiheesta:

"McFly members to write for RHCB
Random House Children's Books has acquired two picturebooks by McFly band members Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter.
Publisher for children's colour and licensing Fiona Macmillan bought world rights through Stephanie Thwaites at Curtis Brown. The books will be illustrated by Garry Parsons.
The first title is called The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas and will be published in October this year. It tells the story of what happens when a baby dinosaur's appetite runs away with itself, and what happens when he has to return Christmas back where it belongs.
Macmillan said: "We are thrilled to have acquired this funny and original text from two very talented voices for today: Tom and Dougie, and for what could well be the first in series of books for the little dinosaur!
"Their shared love of weaving wonderful stories and a passion for children's books shone through when we met. This is a story with for the whole family and one that will really make small boys howl with glee!"

McFlyn pojat myös vitsailivat Tomin polttareista Mirror-lehdelle:

"A bathtub and eight gallons of sour cream... McFly star Tom is in for a debauched stag do
The other boys filled me in on their debauched plans for Tom’s stag night when I joined them in Margate on their tour
Watch out, Tom Fletcher! Your stag do will end up like The Hangover if your McFly bandmates get their way.
The boys filled me in on their debauched plans for Tom’s stag night, before he weds Giovanna Falcone, when I joined them in Margate, Kent, on the Keep Calm and Play Louder tour.
Danny, Harry and Dougie let slip: “It might involve midgets and lamp-posts.
“But we can confirm there will be a bathtub, a bowling ball and eight gallons of sour cream. We just want to have a good time.”
Not that it has put Tom off – he’s more worried about the big day in May.
The 26-year-old said: “The planning is going well but I have to write my speech on tour and I’m really nervous about it.
“I quite like that I’m the first of us to get married as the last one is going to get the worst stag do.”
And what about the rest of the lads? Do they hear wedding bells for themselves any time soon? Er, not really.
Danny, ever the charmer, said: “Tom’s like a guinea pig – we’ll see how he gets on before we decide anything.”

Harry kuvailee muistojaan Chelmsfordista:
"Harry Judd: ‘It’s great there will now be one city in this amazing county’
As Chelmsford is honoured by The Queen

THE news Chelmsford had been made a city by the Queen as part of her Diamond Jubilee was always going to invite criticism.
You can never please everyone, especially when it comes to Essex.
But it's about time the area was recognised — the county didn't even have a city and it's attracted serious attention in recent years that has nothing to do with white stilettos.
In the past, whenever I've told someone that I am from Essex, they immediately started smirking.
But I was born at St John's hospital and grew up in Chelmsford and I have great memories of the place.
I used to spend a lot of time there, playing hockey and cricket or visiting the cinema with friends.
As a musician, it gives me incredible pride to come from the birthplace of proper radio too — in 1920 the first entertainment broadcast was made from Guglielmo Marconi's factory in New Street.
Not only that, The Prodigy and Blur were formed in the area and one of the country's longest standing music festivals — V — is held just outside the city. It was a great feeling to be able to perform on stage on home turf when I joined McFly.
Since the invention of The Only Way Is Essex, there has been far more attention focused on the county.
Although the cast play up to the stereotypes of the area, there is something very likeable about many of them, which is what has made them so popular. Most people I know from the area aren't like them but the likeability is still the same.
I remember the last time I had a night out in Chelmsford — no one could have been nicer, especially when they find out you're a native.
While places closer to London have been swallowed up by the capital, Chelmsford's still its own place, with its own identity and people are proud to come from there.
It's close to London but also to the beautiful countryside of north Essex and Suffolk.
Although I'm living in London now, I definitely want to move back to the area when I'm older.
Congratulations to Chelmsford on becoming a city. In the words of M People: "The only way is up."

"McFly's Tom Fletcher on bogey-snogs & proposing to Giovanna Falcone
Luckily he didn't present her with any kind of snot. That we know of.
Before we get things started, Tom Fletcher has revealed he Googles McFly most days, so COULD BE READING THIS RIGHT NOW.
Hi Tom! *waves, sits up a bit straighter*
*Wipes toothpaste off left boob* Dammit.
The lovely Tom has revealed to Heat magazine the worst thing he's ever done, and it's pretty grim.
"Once, I was kissing a girl when a bogey came out of my nose and landed on her cheek," he admitted.
Bleugh.
"It was horribly embarrassing."
We imagine itwasn't his lovely lady-friend Giovanna, as she's agreed to marry him. Clever gal.
"I proposed to her in a nice way," Tom revealed.
"We met at school and I took her back to the building - which was being refurbished, and filled the place with candles and flowers.
"It was lovely,"
Excuse us, we're off for a cry. That was beautiful.
Hopefully we won't blow a bogey onto anyone's cheek when we're wiping our nose."

McFly julkaisee kirjan! + Jessie J, Next BRIT Thing ja kiertue

Tom kirjoitti tänään Twitteriin, että he julkaisevat kirjan myöhemmin tänä vuonna! Tom kirjoitti:

"Massive news, after almost 9 years we are writing our first McFLY book. Our autobiography is coming later this year...we have LOTS to tell!"
"We've started talking through our lives and experiences of the past 10 years. We've seen and done some pretty crazy stuff. #mcflybook :D"
"For those asking why there hasn't been a book sooner, we didn't want to do one of those tacky books only a couple of years into our career."
"We wanted to wait until we really had something to say, and we are now at that stage in our career where we can tell the REAL stories."

Danny lisäsi, että "The book is gonna tell it all guys."
- "First McFly book for Transworld" - The Bookseller
- "McFly to release memoir on rise to fame" - Digital Spy

Maanantaina McFly tuomaroi Next BRIT Thingin finaalia indigO2:lla Lontoossa:

"McFly get accosted by 400 women!
Now we didn't really need any extra confirmation on how hot those McFly fellas are, but it seems this little tale just verifies what we knew the whole time... Women love McFly.
In fact, women love Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones so much that about 400 of them decided to turn up to the IndigO2 in London last night, just to see their idols make a mad dash from the building to their car (and to obviously smother them in love, kisses and camera lenses).
The McFly fellas were of course there for other reasons (although we're sure they enjoyed that fan love). The boys were actually in town to do their very best Simon Cowell impressions and be on the judging panel for an exciting competition called the Next BRIT Thing 2012, where they had to pick three talented artists from a nationwide search for brand new musical talent. They were joined on the panel by the fabulous classical singer Laura Wright and some other important musical bods.
And the boys did a great job of it - they hand-picked the three winners (Paul Shevlin, Sarah Gardner and Floodliners) after a delicious Nandos dinner fuelled them up for the night... Of course it was lucky they did grab a chicken burger or two beforehand because when the boys finally did leave the building, they chose to thoughtfully stop for a "considerable amount of time" to take pictures with fans, sign autographs and generally be nice. Aw!
And we reckon there'll be some more happy McFans this week too - because the boys are kicking off on their Keep Calm and Play Louder Tour in Portsmouth tomorrow. Obviously, we're hoping for stories of nakedness while singing or races to see who can make the quickest pizza delivery to the stage again...
It's for reasons like this that we love 'em after all!"
Heatworld

"McFly help crown winners of The Next Brit Thing (and look hot, obvs)
McFly have once again shown everyone that not only are they gorgeous, but giving too, after helping to selec three unsigned artists to crown winners of Next BRIT Thing - a national music competition for 11-19 year olds backed by the UK music industry, The BRIT Awards and the Government.
Swanky.

All the contestant seemed to leave Dougie feeling a bit inadequate, as he tweet
"Just been judging some awesome young dudes for Next Brit Thing. Put my bass playing to shame!"
The boys helped pick Paul Shelvin as the winner of the general category;

..Sarah Gardner as the classical winner, and the band Floodliners for the songwriting category.
"We just judged at The Next Brit Thing and met some exceptionally talented people," tweeted Tom after the show.
"Seriously awesome!!
"Saw some amazing female guitarists tonight too...i need to practice!"
How wise and musical of them.
Anything that gets McFly in more leather than a cow-field is a winner with us."
Sugarscape

McFly on myös sanonut haluavansa tehdä yhteistyötä Jessie J:n kanssa:

"JESSIE J ON THE MENU FOR MCFLY!
MCFLY are eyeing Jessie J for a first female collaboration.
After their hook-up with Taio Cruz, the lads want another new pop direction for their next album.
Singer/guitarist Danny Jones is steering production duties on the disc for the first time.
Danny, 25, told me: “I know what the boys want, and everything we’re doing is sounding right and the songs are there.
“We can’t start recording until June 'cos Harry’s on the Strictly tour.
“Once we get everything ready we’d love to get anybody who’d like to collaborate on it.
“When we were recording the last album with Dallas Austin, Jessie popped in and cooked us a bit of dinner so it would be cool to get her.”
Despite drummer Harry Judd, 25, and bassist Dougie Poynter, 24, moonlighting as reality show winners of Strictly Come Dancing and I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, the foursome, including singer/guitarist Tom Fletcher, 26, are keen to get back to their day jobs.
Danny continued: “We’re always striving for the next great song and being successful in a band is one of the best things ever. It’s up to the record label when they want to release the album but I would like to get something out this year.”
This week McFly started a tour of venues around the UK before Saracens and Aviva bring the band to London’s Wembley Arena on March 31 for a pre-game and half-time show at the Aviva Premiership Rugby clash against Harlequins.

Artikkeleita, muutama video & Celebrity Juice!

Heti alkuun muutama artikkeli:

"McFly + rugby shorts + rugby players = afternoon made
If we had to dream up an ideal afternoon, it'd involve watching McFly in tight shorts playing rugby with real-life fit rugby players.
Well whaddyaknow, just as today was looking rather dull, this lovely video landed in front of us.

The video shows Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones meeting the Saracens rugby players and having a little game.
McFly kick proceedings off by whacking out their guitars and having a sing-song with the sporting stars. There are literally too many fit men to count.
Then the lads get changed into their rugby kits (blushing starts here) before heading onto the pitch to be flung around by the real rugby players (blushing a bit more.)
Harry Judd moves across the field in true athletic style (blushing reaching new levels) and Danny comments that he's bruised his bum before SHOWING us. *Faints*
We're hitting 'replay' right now."

"McFly star joins school pupils in Mascot Dance
McFly's Tom Fletcher, writer of the London 2012 mascot song 'On a Rainbow', paid a surprise visit to pupils for the launch of the new London 2012 Mascot Dance.

Fletcher and his sister Carrie – co-singer of the song – joined London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville at Chingford Foundation School as the Mascot Dance routine was revealed.
Schools in the Get Set London 2012 education programme are being encouraged to perform the dance as part of celebrations for World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB, taking place on Monday 25 June.
The dance was choreographed by students during a creative workshop at the English National Ballet
Schools can download the dance instruction films and step-by-step resources from the London 2012 World Sport Day website
Tom Fletcher said: ‘These young people have created an amazing dance and we hope all schools can all perform it and have fun on World Sport Day... We are very proud to be part of it; it’s an honour to have the dance set to our song.’"

The official London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville will be dancing their way to the London 2012 Games with help from students across the UK.
Schools in Get Set, the London 2012 education programme, are being encouraged to get their dancing shoes on and perform a new Mascot Dance routine as part of their celebrations for World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB, taking place on Monday 25 June.
The Mascot Dance which is seeing students and mascots alike shuffling to the official mascot song ‘On a Rainbow’ is part of the second set of resources to help schools get ready to celebrate the athletes and cultures of the world on World Sport Day. London 2012 is encouraging schools to perform the mascot dance as part of their World Sport Day opening ceremony. Schools can download the Mascot Dance instruction films and step-by-step resources from the London 2012 World Sport Day website.
The dance routine was choreographed by students from Chingford Foundation School, The Coopers Company and Coborn School, and Newtons Primary School all in London and Knockhall Community Primary School in Kent. The students first took part in a creative workshop at the English National Ballet where they developed the routine. They then performed the dance, along with Wenlock and Mandeville, at the Piccadilly Theatre in London where the instructive film was created. Begona Cao, Principal Dancer at the English National Ballet also performed the dance with the students and took part in a Q&A session.
The resources were launched yesterday at Chingford Foundation School where Tom Fletcher (lead singer and guitarist of pop rock band McFly) who wrote and then recorded ‘On a Rainbow’ alongside his sister Carrie Fletcher paid a surprise visit and learnt the routine from the students.
Tom Fletcher said: ‘These young people have created an amazing dance and we hope all schools can all perform it and have fun on World Sport Day... We are very proud to be part of it; it’s an honour to have the dance set to our song.’
Amber Hassan, a student from Chingford Foundation School said: ‘I’m really excited that we’re involved with London 2012 and other school children will be copying our moves. It’s really good’.
Max Juniper, a student from Knockhall Community Primary School added: ‘Every lunchtime at school I’ve been practicing my moves.’
London 2012 World Sport Day, which will open Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week in England and Wales, and build on the momentum created during Bank of Scotland National School Sport Week (11-15 June 2012) in Scotland, will give young people in thousands of schools across the UK the chance to take part in the final UK-wide Get Set event before the start of the London 2012 Games, and to join together in celebrating how sport can bring the world together. For more information about World Sport Day please visit http://www.london2012.com/worldsportday
LOCOG will be releasing and promoting new resources every month to help schools plan their day and decorate their school for the celebrations. Schools can request their free event pack on the World Sport Day website; the pack is full of branded materials and decorations, with schools in the Get Set network receiving access to extra materials and opportunities.
London 2012 World Sport Day will be delivered by the Youth Sport Trust across the UK, and in conjunction with sportscotland for schools in Scotland."

"10 minutes with Dougie Poynter
The McFly star tells Hannah Nathanson about Bruce Forsyth's ninja skills and texting naughty pictures

You're about to play Wembley, are your new songs anthemic enough?
They are. Think Bruce Springsteen having a baby with Daft Punk.
Where did you come up with them?
We hid on a Welsh island that you can only reach when the tide is out. There are seals and there's an air base nearby so there were fighter jets flying over the whole time. It's sick.
You and Harry [Judd] won I'm a Celebrity and Strictly; which reality show should Danny and Tom go on?
I don't think there's one feminine enough for them.
How does one win a reality TV show?
By not being yourself. No one's actually interested in the 'real you'.
Are you and fellow Essex boy Mark Wright still in touch?
We send each other weird pictures every now and again.
Pictures of what?
I can't tell you, I think it's a bit wrong.
If you weren't in McFly would you have made it on to TOWIE?
Probably not, I'm not glamorous enough.
Do McFly get a lot of adoring fan mail?
I'm not sure if you'd call pube cakes adoring, but we did once get a fan letter three miles long.
What did Bruce Forsyth do when you stormed on stage to congratulate Harry after he'd won Strictly?
He didn't know who we were. I think he thought we were there to kidnap the winner so he went into defence mode and attacked us with his ninja skills, which was pretty bad-ass.
Did he apologise once he realised who you were?
Oh no.
What's the first thing you did when you got back from the jungle?
I ate a lot. I've only just stopped gorging. I've put on two stone since I got back.
Did you pick up any strange habits when you were there?
I broke strange habits more than anything. I stopped fiddling with my hair.
What did you miss most?
Sitting in a chair.
Why have you called your new clothing line Saint Kidd?
It's based on my favourite pirate, William Kidd, who was really rubbish at being a pirate. It's also inspired by curiosity shops and taxidermists; the sort of places that I hang around in.

"‘We go out on tour on Wednesday and Harry’s only just back from Strictly’
As McFly prepare to kick off their UK tour with a show at Portsmouth Guildhall next week, Tom Fletcher talks to JODIE JEYNES about life in the band since their reality TV exploits.
Hi Tom. How are you today? We hear you were injured in a rugby scrum recently?
I’m good thanks. We’re just finishing rehearsals. The rugby injury wasn’t as bad as everyone made it sound. We’re playing at the Scaracens V Harlequins game at Wembley Stadium, so we were doing some promotion with the Saracens. We were meant to do a little bit of training but we got carried away, as boys do. What’s embarrassing is he [6ft 2in England Under 20 international Jackson Wray] hardly touched me, he just jolted my shoulder. It’s still a little bit sore.
Has it affected tour preparations?
No. I’m better now and there’s still a week to go before the tour. Their physio at the team helped me out with some exercises. But they gave me a lot of stick for it.
A lot has happened to the band since you last spoke to The Guide in 2009. Dougie winning I’m A Celebrity... and Harry winning Strictly must have brought the band to a wider audience. Are you expecting to see a whole new audience at the shows?
I don’t really know. Our audience is growing as we get older anyway. We’ll have to wait and see.
How are Dougie and Harry adapting to life back in the band?
They are terrible. They are so arrogant and big headed now, real divas [jokes]. No, they’re loving it. Dougie was only in the jungle for three weeks, so he’s been back with us for a while. But Harry only finished with Strictly two days ago after the Strictly tour. It was a massive commitment for Harry.
And Danny did Popstar to Operastar in 2010. Will you do any reality TV shows?
I don’t know. I can’t do Strictly or I’m a Celebrity after they won them. It would be too much pressure.
You’ve been writing your sixth album. When can we expect it to be released?
Not a clue. We’ve not had a chance to get into the studio properly with Harry on drums. And we’re touring now, so it will have to wait until we finish the tour, then I’m getting married, so maybe June/July we’ll get back in the studio.
We’re so, so excited about it though. It sounds amazing. Danny’s producing the whole album, so it’s just ourselves. In a band you always have a vision for an album but there are so many other opinions from people like the producer and the record label. But, this time, it’s just us [they have their own label now]. We’ve been hiring houses and setting up studios there, just us lot.
It’s the most genuine McFly album that we’ve ever done, It’s still early days, but I can already see the album taking shape. It’s one for the fans. The last album was more of an experiment, but this one’s got more of what the fans love about McFly.
Will you play any new material on the tour?
We’re doing three brand new songs no one’s ever heard, so the pressure’s on. We haven’t played a show since August last year, so we’re rehearsing frantically.
A very limited number of tickets are available for McFly’s Keep Calm and Play Louder tour date in Portsmouth on Wednesday. They cost £30 or £45 from (023) 9282 4355 or portsmouthguildhall.org.uk. They also play a sold out date in Southampton on March 21.
IVYRISE SUPPORT MCFLY
Support on McFly’s tour comes from Portsmouth indie rock band Ivyrise.
Frontman, Ben Falinski says: ‘It is a massive opportunity for us to support McFly and we’re really excited to be touring with such a high-profile act.
‘It means a lot to us that the guys want us out on the road with them, and we’re very grateful for the chance to share a stage with such a great band.
‘I’m really excited to be coming home to Pompey again, as I always am, but this time I’ll be playing in our biggest music venue, the Guildhall. We can’t wait.’"

"McFly’s Tom Fletcher and his #craptweets are back with a BANG

Tom, we’ve missed you. Let’s go looking for belly button crumbs together.
Last year we proudly hailed Tom Fletcher of McFly our favourite celebrity Tweeter.
If we were feeling low Tom was there with his reassuring dad-jokes. When we were looking to have life’s more profound questions answered he’d be there with his sock ponderings; and when we wanted new words he gave us “bloobs”.
But then something happened, Tom’s tweets suddenly became less geeky and turned kind of cool. What was the reason behind the change in tone? Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd’s reality TV wins? Or, as we suspected, did he have a ghost tweeter – someone tweeting on his behalf to make him sound cooler?
Well whatever the phase he went through was we’re happy to say that as of 2012 he’s well and truly out of it and back to the #craptweets that we all know and love.
So let click next to go on a journey so profound that you might come out the other side a different person."
Sugarscape (voit käydä Tomin #craptweetit tweetti tweetiltä läpi kuvien kera)

"McFly's Tom Fletcher felt old working with One Direction
He just didn't feel down with the kids. Awful stuff.
Although his tweets are super boring, there is one thing Tom Fletcher can do, and that’s write toe tapping, finger-snapping smash hit songs. And not just for McFly, no, no. As we’re sure you’re all fully aware, but we’re going to say it anyway, Tom wrote a song for One Direction. You know, which song we mean, right?
Tom penned ‘I Want’ for One Direction’s debut album Up All Night (wouldn’t it be great if it was the next single? Just sayin’) and reminisced with the Press Association about his sessions in the studio with Zayn, Harry, Liam, Louis and Niall.
He said: “They’re exactly like we were when we started. The first time I was in the studio with them I suddenly felt really old, because they have all this lingo that I don’t even know any more, and I’m well past it now.”
Tom continued: “But they’re exactly like we were and they’re really lovely guys and it’s really nice to see them, they’re really excited about what’s coming up and it’s nice because I know what they’ve got ahead of them.”
He is literally like a Granddad talking about his grandkids. It’s pretty sweet until you remember that he is in fact only 26 years old.
He finished up with: “It’s amazing. They all love it. I know exactly what they’re going through at the moment, and I think they’re in for a very good few years.”
Around about now, we would normally pay Tom a lovely compliment, say something like 'we don’t think you’re out of the loop with the lingo youth’s use today.' However, judging from his tweets, he probably is a bit. (Sorry, we don't mean to keep bringing it up, but they really are boring.)
So Tom, if you’re really feeling that old and left out, get on the internet and do something about it. You plum."

"McFly train with Saracens
Chart toppers McFly were given a day to remember at Old Albanians this week when the band members tackled Saracens in a singing, eating and rugby contest.
King of the Jungle Dougie Poynter and Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd, along with fellow band members Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, were given a special welcome as they performed their hit song It’s All About You with the squad and took part in training…but the highlight of the day was definitely the eating challenge between Dougie and Schalk Brits.
Having been used to eating a variety of different disgusting dishes in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, Dougie tackled the challenge head on, but hooker Brits was a little more hesitant when the dishes of pigs ears, pig snout and sheep penis were served.
“I have literally just found a hair stuck in the back of my teeth and that was un-expected,” said Dougie minutes after the challenge. “Some of the food was very, very, similar to the jungle and it bought back some horrible memories, but at least I didn’t have to eat anything that was alive... that’s bad!”
Look out for the eating challenge in full on Sarries TV in the coming days.
The band will perform at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 31st March as part of the entertainment for the Saracens v Harlequins Aviva Premiership match at the stadium.
“We are really looking forward to playing at Wembley and we will be supporting Saracens,” said Danny. “We had an awesome day. The Sarries boys were a really good bunch of lads and are quite scary when running at you at about 30 mph. I think if we had tried to tackle one of them we could have really hurt ourselves.”
See Sunday's match programme against Leicester Tigers for more pictures and an in-depth interview with McFly about their day at Saracens."

"Dougie: I’ll be wearing no pants on stage!
We spoke to the gorgeous McFly boys about their half time show at Saracens v Harlequins, celebrity crushes and naked bottoms! Oohhh!
They famously sang about a girl with five colours in her hair, but eight years on McFly's Harry Judd reveals that it is now "diva" bass guitarist Dougie Poynter who makes the most fuss over his barnet.
"Dougie's got the longest hair, so his takes the longest to put into shape. But often he doesn't bother and just wears a headband," Harry revealed.
"I would say Danny or Dougie are the biggest divas!"

Currently in the middle of touring the country, the boys are also rehearsing for a half time performance during the Saracens v Harlequins rugby match in March.
"We're performing two songs before kick-off and then one at half time, so I'm really looking forward to it.
"I can't quite claim that we will be putting on a show like Madonna did at the Super Bowl but we'll be doing our very best."
2011 was a successful year for the McFly boys, with drummer Harry winning Strictly Come Dancing and bass guitarist Dougie being crowned the King of the Jungle in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
But scaling new heights of fame isn't always an advantage for the boys:
"I read the other day that I threw a strop and demanded that I have a TV in my bedroom so that I could watch David Beckham on Jonathan Ross," Harry told us.

"The fact is; every hotel room has a TV in it, so why would I have to demand a TV? [laughs]
"I think what happened was, I remember saying after a Strictly show that I was missing Match of the Day and Beckham on Jonathan Ross as well, and what a shame it was. The next day, people were saying I had thrown a strop and demanded a TV in my room so I could watch Beckham - my man crush - on TV apparently.
"Often you read funny things!"
But when they're not touring, rehearsing, or winning various reality TV shows, the boys lark about playing pranks on each other... and us:
"I can reveal a secret about one of the band..." Harry laughed.
"...Danny! I haven't seen him in three weeks and he just walked in the room and pulled his pants down on me! That's often how he greets me! That's a sight I get to see quite a lot."
While speaking to Dougie, the mischievous bass player told us, "On Danny's personal rider, he has eight gallons of cocoa butter and seven gallons of KY Jelly."
"... and I'll be wearing no pants on stage when we perform," the bassist continued.
Don't get too excited ladies, though: the King of the Jungle revealed to us he was no longer a tanned God admitting, "After coming out of the jungle I lost all my tan - not that I really had one to begin with!"
Continuing the theme of nakedness (we weren't complaining), Dougie added, "There was a picture in Heat magazine once, where it sort of went unnoticed that my scrotum was hanging out in the picture.
"They printed it and nobody noticed. I didn't notice! It was the next week when someone told me..."
"I was dressed like a woman as well," he added.
"Why was I dressed as a woman? Well, it was a Thursday night, of course."
Talking about their new found fame, Harry and Dougie agreed that despite both winning huge TV shows last year, their status as popstars has very much remained the same:
"In the band, Danny and Tom have always been the front men but we're all equal so I don't really think about celebrity status," Harry told us.

We broached one final question with the McFly boys; who is their celebrity crush?
"Natalie Portman is my celebrity crush," Harry said.
"I watched her in Black Swan; I try to watch her in everything. I'm quite a big fan.
"I think I'd try and avoid meeting her actually. I would be star struck. I don't think I'd be able to cope. I wouldn't know what to do."
Dougie agreed, "Yeah, Natalie Portman is my celebrity crush. We like her!
"I think I'd remember if I'd met her... I don't think I have."
We can't wait to see the performance boys! I wonder if Dougie will actually be wearing any underwear.... ?

Tässä vielä video Saracens-tapahtumasta, jossa Dougie otti osaa myös syömiskilpailuun:

Ja Harryn haastattelu Digital Spystä:

"McFly interview: 'We can't imagine splitting up'
Now approaching their ninth year as a band, McFly are on the cusp of an important transition: from pre-pubescent boyband to fully-fledged manband.
After a successful stint on the reality circuit which saw Dougie Poynter crowned king of the jungle on I'm a Celeb and Harry Judd win Strictly Come Dancing, the group have promptly re-entered the studio to work on their sixth studio album.
Digital Spy caught up with Harry ahead of their Wembley Stadium gig next month to find out more about said-record.
You're in rehearsals today for a show at Wembley Stadium next month. Do you still get nervous about large gigs?
"We still get quite nervous; especially with a show like this when it's not a crowd who have come out to see you. We're down at the Saracens training ground today for some rehearsals for our halftime show and to do some training with the teams, which should be fun. Getting some exercise in whilst working is handy!"
Are you planning to upstage Madonna's Super Bowl show?
"Not quite! I don't think we could ever rival Madonna - it's not really our style."
How's life in McFly been since you won Strictly?
"I had a couple of weeks off for Christmas, which I spent at home, and then I started the Strictly tour. Today is the first day that we've all been at work together for a while actually!"
Your win and Dougie's I'm a Celeb triumph have pushed the band back into the spotlight again; how's it been for the rest of the group?
"It's been good, but we haven't really been together since it all happened. The other guys have been working on the next album. We're all really looking forward to putting out some new music and getting back on the road."
Were you nervous about doing the reality shows? It can make or break a career...
"Exactly. We were both really nervous about it! Putting yourself out there is always a scary thing, and thankfully it worked out pretty well for us."
Has it encouraged Tom or Danny to get involved in reality TV?
"Now me and Dougie have won, the pressure is on (laughs)! Seriously though, I think we're going to quit at it while we're ahead."
We think Danny would be great on Come Dine With Me.
"I think Danny would love to do a cooking show actually. Learning something new is good fun and hard work, and it's always good to get out your normal routine."
Everything seemed to go quiet in the band for a while before you both entered those shows...
"I suppose it did go a bit quiet. We did an album in 2010, but we had a long gap between album four and five. We'd been going for six or seven years; it took a year and a half to make it, and we didn't do much publicity during that time. I think we realised how hard it was to get people interested again. I think we'd taken our success for granted. Thankfully the album went well and we had a big hit with 'Shine A Light', which meant we could go on tour again. At the same time though, other bands were coming through and it's hard to stay relevant."
What does your new material sound like?
"It's really hard to describe at the moment. Danny has been putting together some demos and they sound amazing - they're very carefully produced already. It's exciting when the demos themselves sound great. Danny has also been DJing and working with Roger Sanchez, which I think is having a great impact on the band as he's learnt so much more on the production side of things."
The last album was more polished than your usual output; will your next record continue that sound?
"It was definitely more mature pop, which some people didn't get. It was also a different style of songwriting. This next album is a bit more raw sounding like our older stuff, but we're still keen on keeping some of the more polished production in there. It's hard to describe at the moment!"
You worked with Dallas Austin and Taio Cruz on Above The Noise; who would you like to work with on this LP?
"I haven't spoken to the guys about it but we're definitely open to collaborating again. We're just starting to play the label the new songs, so we'll see. In a dream world I'd love to work with so many people. A female artist would be great - Jessie J would be amazing, though she's obviously doing extremely well at the moment. Like you say, in a dream world!"
Did you ever consider splitting up?
"No definitely not, unless there's something they're not telling me! I think we have something unique within the four of us. We're still going strong and we're still great mates so I can't imagine it happening any time soon. We hope we can still have success that allows us to release music and tour."

Lopuksi haluaisin esitellä teille pari projektia, jotka muut fanisivut ovat pistäneet aluilleen.
McFly Metro tarvitsee apuamme, jotta saisimme Their Magin tekemään McFly-numeron.

He pistivät pystyyn oman Twititioninsakin, muistakaa allekirjoittaa sekin!

"McFly's Harry Judd admits he's not ready to get married
McFly's dancing star, Harry Judd, has revealed that although he feels ready to marry his girlfriend he doesn't want to rush into such a commitment.
The 'Shine A Light' hitmaker explained to New! magazine that he's been with Izzy Johnston for around 6 years now and while he thinks she's the one he won't hurry along with a proposal:
"She's almost two years older than me and she's always wanted to do it. She knows what I want and I know what she wants and we work well together. I'm not saying to her, 'You're going to have to wait 10 years,' it's not like that. She knows that I'm very keen, too, one day."
Judd also revealed that as a couple they've had their ups and downs, but have always managed to patch things up and added:
"We'd had our problems and we hadn't seen each other for four or five months when she came over (to his house) unexpectedly. I was on my way out with friends and there she was, outside, upset. She was just standing there and it was sort of romantic."

"The Saturdays Frankie Sandford is reunited with ex-boyfriend Dougie Poynter... but don't worry Wayne, it's for a good cause
When they split up last year he ended up having to check himself into rehab because he was so heartbroken.
However, Dougie Poynter and Frankie Sandford were today spotted heading for a reunion in London.
But their respective partners needn't worry, as the pair were simply joining forces for a good cause, taking part in a photoshoot for Sport Relief.

Wearing one of his trademark headbands with his rock-star hair tussled in the wind he tried to avoid eye contact and kept looking straight ahead.
The 24-year-old was wearing a worn look black leather jacket with a jumper and jeans and he was also carrying another outfit in a suit bag.
Shortly after Frankie, 23, turned up and looked great in a short grey dress which she accessorised with a leopard print scarf and a large black handbag.
She was also wearing a leather jacket but kept her eyes hidden behind a massive pair of sunglasses.
The former couple were not alone during the reunion as some of their bandmates also turned up.
Una Healy arrived carrying a huge Louis Vuitton bag and wearing a light, white blouse.
She was followed by Strictly Come Dancing champion Harry Judd who had taken time out of his tour to make an appearance.

The ballroom king was dressed casually in a pair of jogging bottoms and was still drinking his mug of tea.
A very rock and roll looking Danny Jones and a shy and retiring Tom Fletcher joined the party and they both carried a change of clothes too.
The last person to arrive was The Saturdays Mollie King who turned up fashionably late in a Burberry coat, leather shorts, and a big brown scarf.
The blonde 24-year-old struggled to walk straight in the wind and almost lost her fedora in the strong breeze.

The group were meeting for a photo shoot in aid of Sport Relief as Una tweeted earlier today: 'Shoot for Sports Relief today with all my @TheSaturdays girls! :).'
If The Saturdays and McFly are to share the spotlight in a glamorous shoot there may be some awkward tension after the lads made no secret of their dislike of Frankie last year.
Speaking after the split Danny Jones, told new! magazine: 'I personally couldn’t give a s*** what she does. She can do what she likes.'
Frankie moved on quickly after the break up and is now dating footballer Wayne Bridge.
Earlier this month the Manchester City star splashed out on a £135,000 Aston Martin Vantage for her 23rd birthday.
The pretty brunette singer was seen taking her new ride out for a spin and looked delighted with her gift."

"Dougie Poynter steps out with Frankie Sandford lookalike girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones at the NTAs
The couple are loved up at the National Television Awards

Dougie Poynter and his artist girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones made their red carpet debut at the National Television Awards last night.
The smitten pair stepped out together at London's O2 Arena - and we couldn't help noticing that brunette Lara looks a little bit like Dougie's former girlfriend Frankie Sandford, 23.
But I'm A Celebrity jungle king Dougie, 24, is over Frankie and wants to settle down with 21-year-old Lara.
'Let's just say I definitely think she's The One,' he revealed after winning the reality show.
'I adore kids. I haven't really thought about when, but I can't wait.
'They're gonna be little crocodile hunters.'"

"McFly's Danny Jones Has Five Marriage Proposals Rejected
Girlfriend is not ready to take the plunge...
Danny Jones of McFly has revealed that he has proposed to his girlfriend five times, and she has turned him down every time.
Jones, who is in McFly with Tom Parker and reality TV Kings Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter, has dated Georgia Horsley for two years and is desperate to make her his wife. However, it seems she is less keen:
“I’ve asked my girlfriend to marry me five times now and she’s said no." Danny cried to the Daily Star.
“So I don’t think we’ll be heading down the aisle this year. It’s a bit of a sore subject.”
However, Danny's bandmate Tom is taking the plunge this year and will marry his long-term girlfriend Giovanna Falcone.
“We’re all going to be best man at Tom’s wedding. We’re thinking we could sing him a song instead of doing speeches,” Danny says."

"McFly recording new album on a Welsh Island!
Oh how we wish we could join them.
So McFly were on their Twitter pages recently talking about a ‘trip’ they were going on, and Danny Jones even tweeted a photo of his studio equipment all packed up, which lead us to think only one thing.
It was obvious that they were recording some new McFly tunes (which was all later confirmed via twitter of course) but the question on every fan’s lips was, where were they recording?
Well, the King of the Jungle himself Dougie Poynter revealed to the Daily Mirror that they are recording the new McFly material on a tiny Welsh Island!
Dougie said: “It’s great. There’s no way out when the tide’s in. We don’t get distracted. Then as soon as the tide does out we can go to the shops.”
We’re very impatient and want new McFly songs as soon as possible and it would seem that if there is no distractions on this island, then it’s the best place for them to be. As long as those beautiful boys are safe then it’s fine by us."

"Harry Judd's My London

The McFly drummer and Strictly winner shops in Chiswick, tees off at Hampton Court and sinks drinks at The Ship
Home is…
Where the heart is. Predictable, I know, but we have a song with that title.
Where do you live?
Chiswick with my girlfriend Izzy.
What was the last play you saw?
Wicked - I've seen it six times. I first went when it was on Broadway and thought it was the most magical music.
What advice would you give a tourist?
Check out Portobello Road at the weekend and then Hyde Park. Oh, and do the tour of Buckingham Palace, it's majestic.
What's the first thing you do when you arrive back in town?
I go to a studio near my home to practise the drums and then play a round of golf.
Which shops do you rely on?
Topman, because I don't really like clothes shopping but, when I go there, at least they have loads of good stuff. The Old Cinema shop in Chiswick is fantastic for antiques and unique furniture; As Nature Indented for a healthy food shop; Westfield is awesome and close to where I live. The Wembley Drum Centre is great if you're a drummer.
Which is your favourite street for shopping?
Oxford Street has the best clothes shops.
What's the best meal you've had?
Sushi at Gilgamesh in Camden. It's an amazing setting and the attention to detail is incredible.
What's your earliest London memory?
Visiting my dad when he worked in the City. I was about five. My first impression was how huge everything was. That sounds obvious but the biggest place I had ever been to at the time was Felsted in Essex.
What are your extravagances?
My house and my BMW 335 M Sport.
What would you do if you were Mayor for the day?
Make it compulsory for people to wear helmets on the Boris bikes. I'd call them Harry Helmets.
Which animal would you like to be?
A cat so I could sleep all day and get a cheeky stroke when I feel like it.
How would you like the opening line of your obituary to read?
'All one can do in life is to try one's best, and that's what he did.' (I hope!)
What's the best piece of advice you've been given?
My mum always says, 'Be true to yourself.' It seems to work.
What's the most romantic thing someone's done for you?
Taken me to see Stomp - a great show for a drummer.
What was the last album you downloaded?
The new Incubus album. They are one of my favourite bands. It's not their best work but it's a more mellow album so it's good to chill to.
What are you up to at the moment?
Strictly tour rehearsals; then I have the McFly 30-day tour straight afterwards.
What do you most like wearing?
The fluffy slippers that Izzy gave me.
Who are your heroes?
I have lots of heroes, from sportsmen to musicians. My favourite drummers are Travis Barker from Blink-182 and Led Zeppelin's John Bonham.
Where were the last three places you went on holiday?
I went skiing with my best mate Ben in Verbier for a week and stayed in his dad's chalet; it had amazing views and a Jacuzzi and sauna. I went to Crete with Izzy for five days and we stayed in the Blue Palace hotel with a view of Spinalonga island, which has an amazing fortress and used to be a leper colony. I also went on a golfing holiday with two mates in Portugal. We played some awesome courses, most notably Monte Rei, which was designed by Jack Nicklaus.
What's the one item you always pack?
My drum sticks and practice pad. I like to sit on the beach, listening to music while tapping away, annoying everyone.
What's your dream holiday destination?
Anywhere hot, on a beach where the water is warm and clear. Ideally, there would be a beautiful golf course around the corner with epic views.
If you could live in any building, which would it be?
One Hyde Park. Holly Valance's fiancé Nick Candy developed it and during Strictly he explained the design of the apartments; they sound incredible.
Which is your favourite London pub?
The Ship on the river by Wandsworth Bridge. It's near to where a lot of my friends live so it's often where we all meet up. It also does a great BBQ.
What is your favourite London discovery?
Hampton Court Park golf course. It's in a beautiful setting and you tee off surrounded by deer."
This is London

"MARK WRIGHT AND DOUGIE POYNTER TV DREAM
ESSEX romeo Mark Wright and McFly stud Dougie Poynter fancy themselves as the new Ant and Dec.
The tangoed TOWIE hunk, 25, and his new best pal and jungle buddy Dougie Poynter, 24, are hoping to land their own TV show as a comedy double act.
The lads’ bromance has reached dizzying heights following their life-changing stint sleeping side by side in Australia for I’m A Celeb.
A well-placed TV know-it-all told us: “Mark and Doug are itching to land their own TV show, something they can front together as a duo.
“Mark has loads of ideas and is really serious about trying to get producers to consider them.
“They’re both really active and sporty so a high-energy, fun-packed entertainment show would be ideal.
“They have a huge fan base, individually and together. Most girls fancy them but they also appeal to men as they’ve got the blokey banter.
“Mark has admitted Ant and Dec are a huge inspiration.”
When he’s not spending his time humping the female population of Essex, Mark is telling anyone who’ll listen he wants to be a TV presenter.
Mr Loverboy is currently co-presenting Take Me Out spin-off show The Gossip on ITV2. He’s also a health expert on ITV’s Daybreak."

"McFly give up booze to help tee-total Dougie Poynter
THEY used to prop up many a bar into the wee small hours... but the boys from McFly are supporting one of their own now instead.
The band have all decided to quit the booze to help Dougie Poynter, who went into rehab last year following his split from Frankie Sandford.
I’m A Celebrity winner Dougie, 24, said: “None of the boys really drink now to help me out. We are all a bit more grown-up now, so the novelty has kind of worn off. In the early days of McFly, we went wild!”
He’s not wrong. Dougie, along with Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Strictly Come Dancing champ Harry Judd, were one of the thirstiest bands in pop.
But Dougie went on: “I’m not missing the booze. I had to give up because I always took it too far. Now I’m clear-headed, I like being hangover-free – I get a lot more achieved.
“Once you get through that barrier at events and nights out, you realise you aren’t getting drunk and it’s fine.” The boys are joining Harry on his Strictly tour, which landed in Liverpool last night, so the drummer can rehearse for their upcoming tour in April.
A source said: “Tom, Dougie and Danny are joining Harry on lots of his tour dates so they can squeeze in some rehearsals ahead of April. He can’t be in two places at once, so they’ve all agreed to take their practices to him. They’re basically seeing it as a huge road trip. And it gives them a change of scenery from the studio.”
Now that’s what I call teamwork."
Mirror, myös Huffington Post, Pressparty, Unreality TV, Digital Spy ja Enterainment Wise kirjoitti asiasta.

"TOM FLETCHER’S RE-BUFF
MCFLY’S Tom Fletcher might be getting hitched soon, but he’s not bothered about getting buff again.
The singer, 26, told us: “I don’t do the gym any more, hell no. I have given that up.
“I will leave that to Harry now.
“I can’t believe how well he looks after Strictly, there is not an ounce of fat on him at the moment.”
