Tom kuulemma kirjoittaa kappaleita One Directionin uudelle levylle:
"McFly to write for new One Direction album
McFly have revealed that they will be writing tracks for One Direction's next studio album.
Singer Tom Fletcher said that he will be penning more songs for the boyband after contributing 'I Want' to their debut album Up All Night, which reached number one in the US last week.
"I can't wait to write more tunes for One Direction as I'm really proud of their success in America," Fletcher told the Daily Star.
"I haven't been given a brief as to what kind of song they want from me; we're just waiting to see what I come up with."
The singer-songwriter insisted that One Direction can benefit from McFly's nine years' experience in the music industry, as they have been through similar experiences themselves.
He added: "Some songwriters have never been in a band, but the One Direction guys can relate to me, as I've been through the same kind of experiences as they have.
"When I've been in the studio with them, the manic atmosphere was just the same as when we made our debut."
McFly drummer Harry Judd recently told Digital Spy that the band took their success for granted and "realised how hard it was to get people interested again" after releasing their last album Above The Noise."

Sport Relief - Harry ja Aliona tanssivat veden alla, lehtijuttuja kiertueesta
Tässä tuo erittäin upea vedenalainen tanssi Harryltä ja hänen Strictly Come Dancing -tanssiparilta Alionalta:
Entertainment Wise kirjoitti asiasta:
"Harry Judd’s Underwater Waltz For Sport Relief
Chelsee Healey also takes part in the Strictly stunt
Last year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd and runner-up Chelsee Healey have accessorised their spangly dancing outfits with scuba gear to film a breathtaking underwater waltz for the upcoming episode of Sport Relief this Friday.
The pair will certainly make a splash with their respective partners Aliona Vilani and Pasha Kovaley in this stunning, never-seen-before stunt.
McFly drummer Harry told The Sun: “When I first heard about Strictly Underwater, I thought, 'How is that going to work?'. I didn't quite understand what they meant and I didn't think it would work – but it does.”

Waterloo Road actress Chelsee admitted to being scared about taking part, admitting: “I wouldn't say I'm a strong swimmer and I'm not keen on water. I like a bath in it but that's about as far as it goes.”
We can’t wait to see the former Strictly stars dance to Take That’s ‘The Flood’ and Bobby Darin’s ‘Beyond The Sea!’"

And now I'm running in circles, feels like I'm losing my mind
Viime viikolla julkaistiin tieto siitä, että Tom ja Dougie ovat kirjoittamassa lasten kirjaa - ihan kuin vain yksi kirja riittäisikin McFlylle! Tässä artikkeli aiheesta:
"McFly members to write for RHCB
Random House Children's Books has acquired two picturebooks by McFly band members Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter.
Publisher for children's colour and licensing Fiona Macmillan bought world rights through Stephanie Thwaites at Curtis Brown. The books will be illustrated by Garry Parsons.
The first title is called The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas and will be published in October this year. It tells the story of what happens when a baby dinosaur's appetite runs away with itself, and what happens when he has to return Christmas back where it belongs.
Macmillan said: "We are thrilled to have acquired this funny and original text from two very talented voices for today: Tom and Dougie, and for what could well be the first in series of books for the little dinosaur!
"Their shared love of weaving wonderful stories and a passion for children's books shone through when we met. This is a story with for the whole family and one that will really make small boys howl with glee!"

Tässä lisäksi vielä muutama artikkeli McFlyn omaelämäkerrasta:
- "McFly Releasing Tell-All Tome" - Female First
- "McFly plan to release a tell-all biography!" - Heatworld
- "McFly to publish memoirs" - CMU
- "Transworld To Publish McFly Memoir" - Booktrade
McFlyn pojat myös vitsailivat Tomin polttareista Mirror-lehdelle:
"A bathtub and eight gallons of sour cream... McFly star Tom is in for a debauched stag do
The other boys filled me in on their debauched plans for Tom’s stag night when I joined them in Margate on their tour
Watch out, Tom Fletcher! Your stag do will end up like The Hangover if your McFly bandmates get their way.
The boys filled me in on their debauched plans for Tom’s stag night, before he weds Giovanna Falcone, when I joined them in Margate, Kent, on the Keep Calm and Play Louder tour.
Danny, Harry and Dougie let slip: “It might involve midgets and lamp-posts.
“But we can confirm there will be a bathtub, a bowling ball and eight gallons of sour cream. We just want to have a good time.”
Not that it has put Tom off – he’s more worried about the big day in May.
The 26-year-old said: “The planning is going well but I have to write my speech on tour and I’m really nervous about it.
“I quite like that I’m the first of us to get married as the last one is going to get the worst stag do.”
And what about the rest of the lads? Do they hear wedding bells for themselves any time soon? Er, not really.
Danny, ever the charmer, said: “Tom’s like a guinea pig – we’ll see how he gets on before we decide anything.”

Harry kuvailee muistojaan Chelmsfordista:
"Harry Judd: ‘It’s great there will now be one city in this amazing county’
As Chelmsford is honoured by The Queen
THE news Chelmsford had been made a city by the Queen as part of her Diamond Jubilee was always going to invite criticism.
You can never please everyone, especially when it comes to Essex.
But it's about time the area was recognised — the county didn't even have a city and it's attracted serious attention in recent years that has nothing to do with white stilettos.
In the past, whenever I've told someone that I am from Essex, they immediately started smirking.
But I was born at St John's hospital and grew up in Chelmsford and I have great memories of the place.
I used to spend a lot of time there, playing hockey and cricket or visiting the cinema with friends.
As a musician, it gives me incredible pride to come from the birthplace of proper radio too — in 1920 the first entertainment broadcast was made from Guglielmo Marconi's factory in New Street.
Not only that, The Prodigy and Blur were formed in the area and one of the country's longest standing music festivals — V — is held just outside the city. It was a great feeling to be able to perform on stage on home turf when I joined McFly.
Since the invention of The Only Way Is Essex, there has been far more attention focused on the county.
Although the cast play up to the stereotypes of the area, there is something very likeable about many of them, which is what has made them so popular. Most people I know from the area aren't like them but the likeability is still the same.
I remember the last time I had a night out in Chelmsford — no one could have been nicer, especially when they find out you're a native.
While places closer to London have been swallowed up by the capital, Chelmsford's still its own place, with its own identity and people are proud to come from there.
It's close to London but also to the beautiful countryside of north Essex and Suffolk.
Although I'm living in London now, I definitely want to move back to the area when I'm older.
Congratulations to Chelmsford on becoming a city. In the words of M People: "The only way is up."

McFly julkaisee kirjan! + Jessie J, Next BRIT Thing ja kiertue
Tom kirjoitti tänään Twitteriin, että he julkaisevat kirjan myöhemmin tänä vuonna! Tom kirjoitti:
"Massive news, after almost 9 years we are writing our first McFLY book. Our autobiography is coming later this year...we have LOTS to tell!"
"We've started talking through our lives and experiences of the past 10 years. We've seen and done some pretty crazy stuff. #mcflybook :D"
"For those asking why there hasn't been a book sooner, we didn't want to do one of those tacky books only a couple of years into our career."
"We wanted to wait until we really had something to say, and we are now at that stage in our career where we can tell the REAL stories."
Danny lisäsi, että "The book is gonna tell it all guys."

Maanantaina McFly tuomaroi Next BRIT Thingin finaalia indigO2:lla Lontoossa:
"McFly get accosted by 400 women!
Now we didn't really need any extra confirmation on how hot those McFly fellas are, but it seems this little tale just verifies what we knew the whole time... Women love McFly.
In fact, women love Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones so much that about 400 of them decided to turn up to the IndigO2 in London last night, just to see their idols make a mad dash from the building to their car (and to obviously smother them in love, kisses and camera lenses).
The McFly fellas were of course there for other reasons (although we're sure they enjoyed that fan love). The boys were actually in town to do their very best Simon Cowell impressions and be on the judging panel for an exciting competition called the Next BRIT Thing 2012, where they had to pick three talented artists from a nationwide search for brand new musical talent. They were joined on the panel by the fabulous classical singer Laura Wright and some other important musical bods.
And the boys did a great job of it - they hand-picked the three winners (Paul Shevlin, Sarah Gardner and Floodliners) after a delicious Nandos dinner fuelled them up for the night... Of course it was lucky they did grab a chicken burger or two beforehand because when the boys finally did leave the building, they chose to thoughtfully stop for a "considerable amount of time" to take pictures with fans, sign autographs and generally be nice. Aw!
And we reckon there'll be some more happy McFans this week too - because the boys are kicking off on their Keep Calm and Play Louder Tour in Portsmouth tomorrow. Obviously, we're hoping for stories of nakedness while singing or races to see who can make the quickest pizza delivery to the stage again...
It's for reasons like this that we love 'em after all!"

MCFLY are eyeing Jessie J for a first female collaboration.
After their hook-up with Taio Cruz, the lads want another new pop direction for their next album.

“We can’t start recording until June 'cos Harry’s on the Strictly tour.
“Once we get everything ready we’d love to get anybody who’d like to collaborate on it.

Danny continued: “We’re always striving for the next great song and being successful in a band is one of the best things ever. It’s up to the record label when they want to release the album but I would like to get something out this year.”
This week McFly started a tour of venues around the UK before Saracens and Aviva bring the band to London’s Wembley Arena on March 31 for a pre-game and half-time show at the Aviva Premiership Rugby clash against Harlequins.

Heti alkuun muutama artikkeli:
"McFly + rugby shorts + rugby players = afternoon made
If we had to dream up an ideal afternoon, it'd involve watching McFly in tight shorts playing rugby with real-life fit rugby players.
Well whaddyaknow, just as today was looking rather dull, this lovely video landed in front of us.
The video shows Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd, Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones meeting the Saracens rugby players and having a little game.
McFly kick proceedings off by whacking out their guitars and having a sing-song with the sporting stars. There are literally too many fit men to count.
Then the lads get changed into their rugby kits (blushing starts here) before heading onto the pitch to be flung around by the real rugby players (blushing a bit more.)
Harry Judd moves across the field in true athletic style (blushing reaching new levels) and Danny comments that he's bruised his bum before SHOWING us. *Faints*
We're hitting 'replay' right now."

The official London 2012 mascots Wenlock and Mandeville will be dancing their way to the London 2012 Games with help from students across the UK.
Schools in Get Set, the London 2012 education programme, are being encouraged to get their dancing shoes on and perform a new Mascot Dance routine as part of their celebrations for World Sport Day, presented by Lloyds TSB, taking place on Monday 25 June.
The Mascot Dance which is seeing students and mascots alike shuffling to the official mascot song ‘On a Rainbow’ is part of the second set of resources to help schools get ready to celebrate the athletes and cultures of the world on World Sport Day. London 2012 is encouraging schools to perform the mascot dance as part of their World Sport Day opening ceremony. Schools can download the Mascot Dance instruction films and step-by-step resources from the London 2012 World Sport Day website.
The dance routine was choreographed by students from Chingford Foundation School, The Coopers Company and Coborn School, and Newtons Primary School all in London and Knockhall Community Primary School in Kent. The students first took part in a creative workshop at the English National Ballet where they developed the routine. They then performed the dance, along with Wenlock and Mandeville, at the Piccadilly Theatre in London where the instructive film was created. Begona Cao, Principal Dancer at the English National Ballet also performed the dance with the students and took part in a Q&A session.
The resources were launched yesterday at Chingford Foundation School where Tom Fletcher (lead singer and guitarist of pop rock band McFly) who wrote and then recorded ‘On a Rainbow’ alongside his sister Carrie Fletcher paid a surprise visit and learnt the routine from the students.
Tom Fletcher said: ‘These young people have created an amazing dance and we hope all schools can all perform it and have fun on World Sport Day... We are very proud to be part of it; it’s an honour to have the dance set to our song.’
Amber Hassan, a student from Chingford Foundation School said: ‘I’m really excited that we’re involved with London 2012 and other school children will be copying our moves. It’s really good’.
Max Juniper, a student from Knockhall Community Primary School added: ‘Every lunchtime at school I’ve been practicing my moves.’
London 2012 World Sport Day, which will open Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week in England and Wales, and build on the momentum created during Bank of Scotland National School Sport Week (11-15 June 2012) in Scotland, will give young people in thousands of schools across the UK the chance to take part in the final UK-wide Get Set event before the start of the London 2012 Games, and to join together in celebrating how sport can bring the world together. For more information about World Sport Day please visit http://www.london2012.com/worldsportday
LOCOG will be releasing and promoting new resources every month to help schools plan their day and decorate their school for the celebrations. Schools can request their free event pack on the World Sport Day website; the pack is full of branded materials and decorations, with schools in the Get Set network receiving access to extra materials and opportunities.
London 2012 World Sport Day will be delivered by the Youth Sport Trust across the UK, and in conjunction with sportscotland for schools in Scotland."

The McFly star tells Hannah Nathanson about Bruce Forsyth's ninja skills and texting naughty pictures

You're about to play Wembley, are your new songs anthemic enough?
They are. Think Bruce Springsteen having a baby with Daft Punk.
Where did you come up with them?
We hid on a Welsh island that you can only reach when the tide is out. There are seals and there's an air base nearby so there were fighter jets flying over the whole time. It's sick.
You and Harry [Judd] won I'm a Celebrity and Strictly; which reality show should Danny and Tom go on?
I don't think there's one feminine enough for them.
How does one win a reality TV show?
By not being yourself. No one's actually interested in the 'real you'.
Are you and fellow Essex boy Mark Wright still in touch?
We send each other weird pictures every now and again.
Pictures of what?
I can't tell you, I think it's a bit wrong.
If you weren't in McFly would you have made it on to TOWIE?
Probably not, I'm not glamorous enough.
Do McFly get a lot of adoring fan mail?
I'm not sure if you'd call pube cakes adoring, but we did once get a fan letter three miles long.
What did Bruce Forsyth do when you stormed on stage to congratulate Harry after he'd won Strictly?
He didn't know who we were. I think he thought we were there to kidnap the winner so he went into defence mode and attacked us with his ninja skills, which was pretty bad-ass.
Did he apologise once he realised who you were?
Oh no.
What's the first thing you did when you got back from the jungle?
I ate a lot. I've only just stopped gorging. I've put on two stone since I got back.
Did you pick up any strange habits when you were there?
I broke strange habits more than anything. I stopped fiddling with my hair.
What did you miss most?
Sitting in a chair.
Why have you called your new clothing line Saint Kidd?
It's based on my favourite pirate, William Kidd, who was really rubbish at being a pirate. It's also inspired by curiosity shops and taxidermists; the sort of places that I hang around in.

"‘We go out on tour on Wednesday and Harry’s only just back from Strictly’
As McFly prepare to kick off their UK tour with a show at Portsmouth Guildhall next week, Tom Fletcher talks to JODIE JEYNES about life in the band since their reality TV exploits.
Hi Tom. How are you today? We hear you were injured in a rugby scrum recently?
I’m good thanks. We’re just finishing rehearsals. The rugby injury wasn’t as bad as everyone made it sound. We’re playing at the Scaracens V Harlequins game at Wembley Stadium, so we were doing some promotion with the Saracens. We were meant to do a little bit of training but we got carried away, as boys do. What’s embarrassing is he [6ft 2in England Under 20 international Jackson Wray] hardly touched me, he just jolted my shoulder. It’s still a little bit sore.
Has it affected tour preparations?
No. I’m better now and there’s still a week to go before the tour. Their physio at the team helped me out with some exercises. But they gave me a lot of stick for it.
A lot has happened to the band since you last spoke to The Guide in 2009. Dougie winning I’m A Celebrity... and Harry winning Strictly must have brought the band to a wider audience. Are you expecting to see a whole new audience at the shows?
I don’t really know. Our audience is growing as we get older anyway. We’ll have to wait and see.
How are Dougie and Harry adapting to life back in the band?
They are terrible. They are so arrogant and big headed now, real divas [jokes]. No, they’re loving it. Dougie was only in the jungle for three weeks, so he’s been back with us for a while. But Harry only finished with Strictly two days ago after the Strictly tour. It was a massive commitment for Harry.
And Danny did Popstar to Operastar in 2010. Will you do any reality TV shows?
I don’t know. I can’t do Strictly or I’m a Celebrity after they won them. It would be too much pressure.
You’ve been writing your sixth album. When can we expect it to be released?
Not a clue. We’ve not had a chance to get into the studio properly with Harry on drums. And we’re touring now, so it will have to wait until we finish the tour, then I’m getting married, so maybe June/July we’ll get back in the studio.
We’re so, so excited about it though. It sounds amazing. Danny’s producing the whole album, so it’s just ourselves. In a band you always have a vision for an album but there are so many other opinions from people like the producer and the record label. But, this time, it’s just us [they have their own label now]. We’ve been hiring houses and setting up studios there, just us lot.
It’s the most genuine McFly album that we’ve ever done, It’s still early days, but I can already see the album taking shape. It’s one for the fans. The last album was more of an experiment, but this one’s got more of what the fans love about McFly.
Will you play any new material on the tour?
We’re doing three brand new songs no one’s ever heard, so the pressure’s on. We haven’t played a show since August last year, so we’re rehearsing frantically.
A very limited number of tickets are available for McFly’s Keep Calm and Play Louder tour date in Portsmouth on Wednesday. They cost £30 or £45 from (023) 9282 4355 or portsmouthguildhall.org.uk. They also play a sold out date in Southampton on March 21.

‘I’m really excited to be coming home to Pompey again, as I always am, but this time I’ll be playing in our biggest music venue, the Guildhall. We can’t wait.’"
