"Dougie Poynter: Covered in bugs, but we'd still lick him...

On our 24th birthday we were getting a little bit (read: a lot) tipsy at a house party at our mum’s house, but Dougie Poynter had pretty much the opposite type of celebration yesterday – he did it in the Australian jungle while being pelted with insects, a few snakes and fly pupae. Mmm!
The McFly star had woken up a little bored on the morning of his 24th birthday, so a very helpful (!) Mark Wright suggested he do a Bushtucker Trial to brighten up his day.
Of course Dougie didn’t say no – and he ended up on his back (oi oi) on a giant clock where he had to find the numbers to go with said clock in a load of insect-filled boxes. Cockroaches, rats and snakes surrounded him, but the fella didn't flinch. And of course he took the smothering of fly pupae as a part of the parcel of the task and told Ant and Dec after that the gunk tasted like ‘soup’.
Naturally, our fave little man nailed the task with three minutes to spare (did anyone ever doubt him) and rushed back to the jungle to pounce on Mark with his happy news... oh and then have a wash.
Speaking about his impending shower, Doug revealed, “I set myself my own personal challenge of seeing how long I could go without a wash. I’ve gone four days without washing but the smell was so bad I’ll have to wash now.”
Dougie, we love you – but frankly, that made us wretch a bit. We wonder how new girlfriend Lara Carew-Jones took that delightful admission."

"I'm A Celebrity's Mark Wright wows Dougie Poynter with tongue skills
I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! favourite Mark Wright has impressed fellow camper Dougie Poynter with his nifty tongue action as the pair undertook a task together in the jungle.
Emily Scott may not have been treated to a full display of Mark's tongue skills, but McFly star Dougie has gone where she couldn't and seen the TOWIE star in action during an I'm a Celeb challenge.
Viewers watched as the pair headed off into the jungle together to tackle the task, entitled Losing Your Marbles, and it soon became clear that they might not be the best pairing for success.
'Two Essex boys working this out. We’re gonna be in trouble,' said Mark.
The boys donned kangaroo outfits and boxing gloves as instructed, before attempting to fit some of the thousands of marbles into the requisite holes in order to release the keys they needed to win the task.
'I felt like I was losing my marbles, minute by minute,' Mark said, speaking after the task had finished.
Between laughing at each other's costumes and struggling with coordination skills, the boys found it difficult to get the marbles into the holes.
'Bugs challenges I’m fine with, but this was just annoying,' said a frustrated Dougie.
Mark reassured him: 'We’ll do this together, we started it together,' as the pair tried to lift the boxes of marbles in order to claim victory, before realising that their efforts were futile.
'That idea didn’t work. That was an Essex boy idea, bad idea,' smiled Mark.
Mark then decided on another way to reach the key and used his tongue to swirl the key out from the box.
Dougie looked on, impressed with Mark's ingenuity: 'Mark’s got some good tongue skills, so he wound the key out,' he said later.
After winning the task, the boys were full of beans, playfully hitting each other with their kangaroo tails.
'It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you, Dougster,' said Mark.
'You too, you look hot as a kangaroo,' smiled Dougie."

"'I'm a Celebrity' Willie: 'Antony and Dougie are f***ing thieves'
I'm a Celebrity's Willie Carson has vented his anger at Antony Cotton and Dougie Poynter for stealing his towels.
Producers set Cotton and Poynter a secret task to take belongings from other campmates, winning packages from their family if they succeed.
Oblivious to their challenge, a furious Carson told them: "You don't steal, you don't lie. I'm seething, annoyed - these thieves get away with it and we do the time.
"I'm so f**king angry. If it was just me, I'd have given you a thump and laughed about it. It's turned nasty, condoning stealing; you can't do this, condoning thieving - and how can this look good?"
Cotton argued: "Willie when you get out of here you will see exactly what happened and you will see that you filled in your own blanks and you are wrong. As far as we were aware we were doing it for everyone, we don't get anything out of it. It's just a game show!"
However, the ex-jockey maintained: "He's lucky I didn't pull him out of the bed last night, I was very close to it. What you are doing to all the kids in England is condoning stealing. You don't steal, you don't lie, even in a game show. It is selfishness and I can't condone it."
Coronation Street star Cotton told Poynter later that he was unhappy with Carson's fury, saying: "The horrible thing is we never did anything but they did say those things and they did react that way. You can't take that away, it's a horrible feeling. You can forgive and forget but can't take it away."
