"Dougie Poynter is having 'a bitchin' time' on the McFly tour
Dougie is out of rehab and telling everyone how good it feels to be back with his boys.
It was touch and go whether Dougie Poynter would make the McFly tour, but fresh from rehab, the star is loving every minute of being on the road.
He Tweeted: “Sheffield. You guys knocked the crap outta me! Truly awesome. Manchester MEN bring it on Morpheus style.”
The next night Dougie praised Manchester fans, writing: “Last night was awesome. Machester blew my face off.”
He added: “Brighton was hella sweet last night. Cardiff shall be bitchin times also!”
Dougie checked into the Priory earlier this month when he was reportedly struggling to cope with his break-up from Saturday’s star Frankie Sandford.
Last week, he was feeling well enough to return home and told concerned fans: “Got home last night and read all your messages. Thanks for all your support, really means allot x”
Dougie headed straight into rehearsals and was ready to perform on the first night of the McFly tour, which kicked off on Friday."

"McFlying into Bournemouth
“I’M planning on running naked throughout the whole of Bournemouth just so I can fit in seeing everything that’s there. I’m also really looking forward to going to a typical Bournemouth pub and somewhere with great food,” exclaims Dougie Poynter from McFly.
Returning to Bournemouth on Wednesday for their headline tour, the chart-topping boy band seem giddily excited, if not a bit crazy about seeing the town. Since 2002, the boys have sold an estimated eight million records worldwide and are proud owners of a Brit Award.
It’s safe to say Mcfly have pleased most fans around the globe, with Dougie’s favourite place being “Erm, somewhere I can’t remember in Sydney, but yeah that was my favourite place, oh and the Rock in Rio gig we did in Lisbon last year.”
Wednesday’s Bournemouth show will be part of their first tour after a two-year break from the road.
Fans might get more than they expected, as Dougie revealed that “on tour supporters can expect to see nudity and fire as well as us being able to play better than we ever have before.”
McFly have also recently launched Supercity their interactive website with bells and whistles on.
“Fans love Supercity, it’s a chance for them to feel much closer to us and we make sure we go out and meet fans before each gig. Our fans have also been able to help us decide on the set lists.”
While Poynter, 23, seemed upbeat, there has been a backlash regarding their new electro, Gaga-esque sound.
“Some fans are not into it and played live, our new stuff sounds a lot heavier but I think it still fits in with all of our old tracks and when they hear it live they will see. My favourite track from the new album Above The Noise is ‘Nowhere Left To Run and I’m really looking forward to playing it live on tour.”
At the end of 2010, McFly teamed up with UK producer and artist Taio Cruz for Shine A Light, which seemed at the time an unexpected musical collaboration.
“Taio was a sweet guy, really quiet and shy but great to work with” and Dougie agreed that it was an unusual combination but one that seemed to work.
“In the future, I’d love to collaborate with a female artist. I think that would be good as we haven’t ever done it before.”
Though McFly are experienced performers, they still remain looking like typical boys next door – albeit with a bit more stubble than when they first hit the charts.
“We don’t have a stylist as such as we like to wear our own clothes on tour, so we have help with the shopping and then we just wear what we like.”
But it’s not all a bed of roses being in a successful boy band. After speaking to Dougie, the musician checked into rehab due to his split with girl-band member Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays. Last week, the band announced to fans that Dougie would be back and fighting fit for the tour.

"Rocking above the noise
With a new sound, and the world’s first-ever Super City, McFly return to Aberdeen tomorrow night, writes Colene McKessick
ALTHOUGH they were seen initially as a boy band with the usual expiry date, four-piece McFly have proved critics wrong by entering their eighth year as a band, recently releasing their sixth album, Above the Noise.
Just as the charts and music industry have evolved since 2003, the band have tried to grow and develop, too. Those with tickets to their Above the Noise tour date in Aberdeen tomorrow night will notice a distinct change in style from the band’s preppy-pop debut, Five Colours in Her Hair.
In the age of downloads and social networking, the band have become the first to have a multifunctional “hub” – the Super City. No ordinary fan website, Super City allows fans to chat to members of the band on specially streamed web chats, hear unreleased material and demos, watch behind-the-scenes videos, and even download albums and buy concert tickets before they are released to the public.
So, seeing as they’ve aimed high with their latest album and website, lead singer Tom Fletcher said that the tour would be a new adventure for the group.
“It is a huge show,” said Tom, 25.
“Normally what happens is that we come up with a big wish list of what we want to do on the tour, and then we send that through to our production designer and he tells us what is physically impossible, or what’s going to cost stupid amounts of money, and then we narrow it down.
“But I think this is the first time that we put the list in and we’re able to do all of the things we wanted to do, so I think it’s going to be one of the biggest shows we’ve put on.
“We like creating moments in the show that stand out, so people go away saying: ‘Remember when they did this?’ So we have a few things like that up our sleeves for this tour.
“I remember going to arenas to see bands play when I was young, so we want to create an amazing night of entertainment for the people who come and see us.”
With Above the Noise being a completely new direction for the band, who had hits with previous songs All About You and Star Girl, Tom admits releasing the new sound to existing and new fans was daunting.
“It was scary, but we were so pleased with the reaction we got, especially with the reaction we got to Shine a Light, it was incredible, it’s been our most successful single ever,” he said.
“The record was an experiment; we weren’t 100% sure how people would react. Obviously, we’re extremely proud of it, but you are never sure with any album how people will react.
“Releasing albums is the hardest bit of the job, and the tour is the reward at the end, so I’m glad we’re at the stage where we’re on tour everywhere; that’s the most fun.
“If you had said a couple of years ago that we’d have an album like Above the Noise, I’d never have believed it, it’s a lot of collaboration and a lot of experimentation,” said Tom.
“We have a massive song called Nowhere Left To Run that as soon as we recorded we were really looking forward to doing live; it’s a huge song.
“We have a song called End of the World which samples War of the Worlds, and it’s tricky to play live. I won’t lie, me and Danny have messed it up quite a few times, but I’m looking forward to playing all the new ones.
“If I’m being honest, we love doing the old stuff, too. We’re never going to stop playing the songs that people pay money to come and hear, and we love them, too. I never really understand when bands don’t play their biggest hits, or get fed up of them. We have fun if the crowd are having fun, so we like doing All About You and Five Colours in her Hair just as much as we like doing the new stuff.”
Fans who join McFly’s Super City website, or Pioneers, as they’re known, also get other benefits on tour, such as early entry to venues and exclusive meet and greets.
"The meet and greets have gone really well,” said Tom.
“Because this is completely new territory for us, we tried it in Europe so we could see the best way of doing things, so at some venues there were 2,000 or 3,000 people and we sussed out a nice little formula for meeting everyone.”
As for the critics, Tom said the band would always have to fight to lose their boy-band label.
“I think it’s one of those things: we’re very ambitious, so we want as much recognition for that and with every album we always aim to be the biggest band in the world, so it pushes us to do the biggest things we can,” he said.
“If you aim for the stars, you might land on the moon, and that’s what we live by. It is frustrating not getting recognition, but, on the other hand, it’s hard to complain because so many other bands have half the amount of success that we’ve had, so we’re very blessed.
“But when you’re very ambitious, you’re never really happy. When you do take a step back, though, we’re extremely lucky to be in the position we’re in.”
As for the date, Tom’s looking forward to the band’s most northerly tour stop.
“We have very fond memories of playing up in Aberdeen because it has always been great,” he said.
“It’s not like there’s a distinction between the band and audience; we’re all there to have a great night.
“But I need to get Danny to work on his Scottish accent. He always says: ‘Hello Aberdeen,’ but it sounds more Glaswegian, so that won’t do.”

"Rehab appears to have done strange things to Dougie’s face
Having trotted along to rehab to get over a few emotional woes regarding his ex-girlfriend and her fondness for ugly-but-rich premiership footballers, we’d have thought Dougie McFly would look refreshed. All people do in rehab is go for picnics and drink coconut water, right?
Which doesn’t really explain why Dougie looked like a little old man shuffling out of a McFly gig yesterday. Is he happy? Is he sad? Is he confused?
Whatever he is, Dougie looks like he needs a good rogering to get some colour back into his cheeks. Volunteers? Anyone? Just us? OK!"

"McFly make a landing in Bawtry hotel

POP sensations McFly helped add star quality to a wedding in Doncaster when they were spotted at the same venue.
Band members Tom, Dougie, Danny and Harry were staying at the Crown Hotel in Bawtry with crew, manager and bouncers,.
They were in Bawtry during a stint at a nearby rehearsal studio before going on tour last Friday.
McFly’s Above the Noise Tour kicked off in Sheffield on Friday, March 18, taking them all over the country performing hits from their new album, including Shine a Light and new single That’s the Truth.
It was the second time the group has stayed at the hotel, having visited five year ago.
Katey Dent, sales manager of the Crown, said the band loved Bawtry.
She said: “It was great to see the guys from McFly return to the hotel.
"They came to us around five years ago – much younger then of course!
“We had a wedding on at the hotel the same day they were checking out and the wedding guests could not believe that McFly were there!
"They were happy to have photos with the wedding party and also sign autographs.”
McFly are on a long list of groups and musicians on the guest book at the hotel, including Boyzone, Kasabian, Peter Andre and Dizzee Rascal."

"McFly promise sex on site
McFly have joked that their fans could be treated to a sex show if they log on to their Super City website.
McFly's fans could witness a sex show if they log on to the group's website.
The British band - which is comprised of Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter - have joked that fans who log on to their Super City website will be treated to the X-rated content if they accumulate enough points by interacting on the site.
Tom said: "There's a whole social networking side to Super City, like Facebook, so you can log on and update your page."
Danny added in an interview with Recognise magazine: "We can do web chats from anywhere on our laptops, it's amazing. I've done a few from my house and one from my bed.
"Fans have their own profiles and they get points if they do things like upload a picture and, with us, points win prizes. You can get private phone calls from us, emails, a sex show . No, no I'm joking! It starts from little things to big things, like a meet and greet."
Asked how many points fans would need to view the sex show, Tom said: "A million points.
"What's on the sex show? Is it us doing each other, or them?"
Danny said: "That's on the adult version of the site. Yeah, you superimpose yourself on a picture that we made so it looks like you're getting done by us."
You can read the full version of the McFly interview in the March/April edition of Recognise Magazine (www.recognisemagazine.co.uk) which is out now."

"REVIEW: McFly @ MEN Arena (sisältää spoilereita)
There were giant beach balls, a flying stage, fireworks, a bizarre but equally impressive rap, guns firing T-shirts into the crowd, and at the back of the stage, a gas-powered flaming sign that threatened to engulf the drummer.
This is what happens when you give a manufactured band creative control over their own show — but somehow, McFly pulled it off.
Yes, they were preaching to the converted — the near capacity crowd inside the MEN Arena was predominantly female and predominantly teenage, although there was a dedicated brigade of terrified dads and a good few cougars too — but the cult band, who are semi-credible these days, delivered an all-guns-blazing lesson in entertaining the masses.
McFly sing the old favourites (All About You, Five Colours In Her Hair and Obviously) as well as their latest stuff (That's The Truth, Party Girl and the Thriller-inspired End Of The World) in a strong two-hour set.
And it has to be said: these boys write very good pop songs and Tom Fletcher is at the centre of that.
He has very much adopted the Gary Barlow role.
But Danny Jones is the main man these days. Front stage centre, he’s the Robbie Williams of the band.
Heavily tattooed, with all the swagger and confidence of a bona fide rock star, the Bromley Cross lad even ditched his guitar midway through the show, donned a pair of shades, and ripped into an adrenaline-fuelled cover of Tinie Tempah’s Pass Out.
That a band like McFly can get away with this shows how far they’ve come.
They have broken away from those contrived beginnings and now are firmly in control of their own musical destiny.
The encore is brilliantly nostalgic.
One For The Radio is anthemic. In fact, it is McFly’s anthem, neatly summing up their refreshing philosophy on musical snobbery.
Then the rather lovely ballad, The Heart Never Lies, rounds off the show.
All done? Nope. This is McFly.
A second encore is demanded, deserved and delivered.
They belt out the infectious Shine a Light, and everyone, dads included, goes home happy."

"McFly - Live @ Manchester M.E.N Arena 19/03/2011 (sisältää spoilereita)
When McFly burst into the pop world way back in 2004, those of you that weren't fourteen year old girls cynically predicted their life cycle through the boy band factory and assumed they would be spat out into the incinerator at the not so distant end.
Seven years later, and it seems they're just about surviving. With a bass player straight out of rehab, poor album sales and a dodgy R 'n'B makeover, the foursome are frantically trying to claw their way out of that hole they dug for themselves with the release of fifth studio album 'Above The Noise' late last year.
But while many may assume that the future of McFly is hanging in the balance, Manchester's 10,000 strong crowd will tell you a very different story.
From the moment the house lights dimmed, it was obvious that the foursome are very much back on form. The impressive set list spanned over twenty songs and featured fan favourites from all five albums, kicking off with comeback single 'Party Girl'. The group took the chance to strip the synths away from their most recent release and remind everyone that, underneath it all, they're still the same pop band they always were.
The night's unexpected highlight came from a bizarrely innovative cover of Tinie Tempah 's 2010 smash hit 'Pass Out'. Bolton front man Danny Jones was on mockney vocal duty, ditching his guitar and donning sunglasses to suitably grime up for his performance.
Two encore's rounded the show off on an emotional high with a sing-a-long spectacular of 'Shine A Light' and a promise that yes Manchester, they will be back again. Even better next time. Lets hope they stick to their word.
They may have made a grave error in trying to compete with the JLS's of the world, but performing live is their forte, and this show proved that McFly still deserve their place on the stage."

"Preview: McFly, Metro Radio Arena, Newcastle
MCFLY have been in the news of late for perhaps the wrong reasons. But, as Entertainment Editor Gordon Barr finds out, all is back on track and they’re gearing up for their Newcastle gig.
IT’S been a traumatic few weeks for the McFly lads but it looks like they’ll be putting their troubles behind them when they arrive in Newcastle later this month.
Certainly, last time they were here, back in January for Press interviews at the Metro Radio Arena, where they perform on March 27, there was no sign of any upset, especially from bassist Dougie Poynter.
It’s since been well documented that Dougie has since spent time in rehab after receiving treatment for depression. He checked out just days ago and the band are now all-go for their UK tour.
The Essex native, 23, was distraught when The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, 22, ditched him in November and within weeks was photographed with new footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge. Intense Press coverage finally took its toll, but Dougie has been Twittering he is now on the road to recovery.
The tour follows on from the release of their latest album Above The Noise and their ground-breaking Super City website.
Two years in the making, the website provides worldwide fans with unrivalled access to the band; it has citizens rather than visitors where fans can subscribe to access further content including albums, demos and webchats.
It means those subscribed will be getting all the latest news from the band – Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd and Dougie – when they play Newcastle.
All the old hits will be performed on the night, as well as tracks from the latest album, on which they worked with acclaimed producer Dallas Austin.
“We decided it was about time to do something different and a bit challenging,” explains Tom.
Danny adds: “It was amazing to work with Dallas, because of the amazing career he has had.
“We went out to Atlanta for a few weeks, then he came to London – he was like a fifth member of the band.
“He was a really cool dude and got our vision and where he wanted to take it.
“It was a great time.”
Tom interjects: “It’s really hard to explain the change in direction as stylistically it is still very much McFly but in sound terms it is much more pop.
“We just really wanted to experiment, and that is good for the band.”
McFly were signed to Island Records from 2004 to 2007, before creating their own label, Super Records.
They rose to fame after fellow pop band Busted helped launch them by inviting them to tour in 2004.
The band’s name originates from Marty McFly, the protagonist of the Back to the Future film trilogy and to date the lads have sold an estimated eight million records worldwide and have also won a Brit Award.
“It’s just good to be going out on the road again,” says Harry.
“Getting out there and meeting the fans. We have close contact with the fans thanks to the website and we keep them posted on all we do.
“But nothing beats getting up on that stage and performing in the flesh for them.
“Newcastle always proves to be a memorable show too.”

Tässä muutama artikkeli lähipäiviltä..
"DOUGIE'S FIRST POST-REHAB INTERVIEW
COURAGEOUS McFLY star DOUGIE POYNTER has made a triumphant return to boy band life after his shock stint in rehab.

The showbiz world was stunned when I revealed the heartbreaking story that Dougie had entered the Priory earlier this month after struggling to cope with his split from THE SATURDAYS singer FRANKIE SANDFORD.
But on Friday night, before taking to the stage in Sheffield for the delayed launch of the band's national arena tour, Dougie sat down with me for an XSclusive interview about how rehab has improved him.
"It's one of the best things I've ever done in my whole life," he revealed. "I'm still me but it's definitely been very positive."
"I don't know how I've changed. I try not to really think too much about it." And then he burst into a smile and joked: "My hair's gone a bit ma-hoo-sive!" Dougie booked himself into rehab after Frankie started a new relationship with England footballer WAYNE BRIDGE, which knocked him for six.
And since I revealed his plight, she has been subjected to death threats.
Dougie has, sensibly, decided not to mention Frankie anymore, but responding to the threats on her life he said: "It's out of my control really."
But he added: "I think anyone receiving death threats is not a good thing.
I don't support anything like that. I don't wish any bad things upon anybody."
Dougie looks so much happier than the last time I saw him - and he's over the moon to be back with his bandmate "brothers".
But, being McFly, he said that hasn't stopped the teasing! "It's all been a bit strange," Dougie told me. "I cam out and went straight on tour. The only people I've seen have been my mum, my nan and these guys."
"But on the internet everyone's been cool. That feedback has been awesome. I was expecting these guys to have matured a little bit.
"I thought they might have grown up and changed their hair. But no. It was exactly the same."
And then the bassist cheekily added: "I was working on my solo project when I was in rehab. It's just bass!"
Dougie's bandmates reflected on how Dougie's changed. HARRY JUDD said: "He's become quite the philosopher." And TOM FLETCHER added: "Bizzarely he's come out better at maths."
The band went to pick Dougie up from rehab and Tom said: "When he came out I told him he looked like TOM HANKS in Castaway with long hair and a beard."
But Harry then turned serious to explain: "We've grown up together. We've all been through ups and downs. I've been through some real lows but we're always there for each other."
For now, Dougie's only problem is remembering how to play the band's old hits. "I'm messing up Obviously, even though I've been playing it for eight years!" he said."

"The Wanted: 'McFly Have Better Bodies Than Us'
They admit defeat as they announce iTunes festival appearance!
The Wanted have said their bodies are nothing compared to the ripped guys in McFly.
Speaking ahead of their newly announced iTunes festival date, Siva from the band revealed that they don't quite have the six-pack and guns of their boyband rivals.
"McFly have much better bodies than us," he said.
Adding: "If it was for a good cause we’d strip again. But McFly take the trophy. We can’t compete with them. --"

Dougie on virallisesti palannut! & Recognise magazine

Dougie poistui eilen The Priorysta. Hän myös twiittasi tänään ensimmäistä kertaa pitkään aikaan, sanoen, että meidän kannustuksemme merkitsee hänelle paljon. Sitä seurasi erittäin dougiemainen tweet: "Now can we get back to tweeting about boobs, dicks and farts?". Hän todellakin on palannut! The Sun kirjoitti aiheesta mielenkiintoisen artikkelin:

"'Stay away from my son, Frankie'
TROUBLED DOUGIE POYNTER's mum has hit out at ex FRANKIE SANDFORD for breaking his heart.
And she says the split has left him like a "lost and like a little boy."
The McFly star checked into rehab in February, three months after the break up, because he was still struggling to cope.
And mum SAM MOODY told Star magazine: "He was broken-hearted - really down. It was a kick in the teeth, but what do you do?
"I can't wave my magic wand and make it better. I hated seeing him so upset - maybe it's because she was his first love."
She admitted that the family had long been wary of the Saturdays singer, because "she's done it before".
And she described her visit to rehab to see her son.
She said: "He looked lost and like a little boy, because he's usually with the other three boys, and suddenly he's there on his own.
"He was excited about seeing me and it reminded me of when he was about 12. I had a cry, but he's doing really well and was laughing and joking."
She also revealed that he didn't open up about Frankie's new relationship, with footballer WAYNE BRIDGE, until he was in rehab.
She said: "It's devastating. It's horrible. But obviously he knew that she would move on."
And she ruled out any future friendship between the two stars, who dated for two years until the November split.
She added: "That's the worst thing he could ever do. I think he's been advised in rehab that he doesn't have to be rude, but he doesn't have to be her friend."
"He was worried about how to deal with it, because they're doing a concert together at Alton Towers later this year and it'll probably be the first time he'll see her."
And she had a clear message for her boy's ex.
"Leave my son alone. That's all I've got to say to her. I don't care what she does or who she does it with, just let Dougie get on with his life - you don't want to be part of it, so leave him alone.
"Let him get better, get over you, and go out and find that incredible woman he deserves."

National Lottery Show, That's the Truth, Dougie on taas oma itsensä!

Tässä vielä muutama viesti National Lottery Show'sta perjantailta:

That's the Truth sijoittui ensimmäisellä viikollaan Britannian viralliselle singlelistalle 35:nneksi. Itunesin kanssa oli kuitenkin ongelmia, singleä ei saatu ladattavaksi kun vasta puolessa välissä viikkoa ja se luultavasti vaikutti menestykseen. Tässä kuitenkin arvostelu singlestä:

"Single Review: McFly - 'That's The Truth'
McFly's comeback may not have made quite the impact they desired. In fact, you could, what with only two top ten hits and an album - recently certified Silver - that barely managed to grab itself a seat inside the Top 20, be forgiven for not even knowing they'd made a comeback. It's a bitter taste of the reality of the music scene right now. But, as The Hoosiers had already proven, even "going electro" or "going urban" can sometimes fail to tantalise taste-buds that, three years ago, would have been salivating wildly at the thought of McFly as a leather-clad superhero quartet with their own virtual city to defend. Despite this, McFly are steaming ahead with the third release from their comeback album 'Above The Noise'.
'That's The Truth', as you can most likely foretell from just the title alone, follows the typical McFly song topic - teenage heartbreak. But even so, McFly have always been very clever with the songs they write and perform - scour their back catalogue and you'd be hard-pressed (other than '5 Colours In Her Hair') to find any material as gimmicky and as childish as their teenaged rocker counterparts, Busted, who, with a two-album career of odes to thunderbirds, crashing weddings and travelling forward 1000 years in time, never really showed any signs of maturity. McFly on the other hand, have progressed and matured like a fine wine and it shows now in their lyrics and music. I'd go so far as to say that their audience has most certainly widened - nothing about the lyrics of 'That's The Truth' suggests it's solely aimed at the teenaged market.
With swirling strings and shimmering synths, Tom and Danny take it in turns to provide vocals for the song and armed with yet another huge pop chorus and lyrics that add a lilt of bittersweet to the optimistic production, this should rightfully make a strong advance on the Top 10. However, my guess is it'll stall around about #30 due to the free album give-away McFly participated in.
You could say, that all McFly have done here is re-write another one of their older songs and put an electropop backing to it. You could call them sell-outs for using synthesisers instead of guitars. You could even criticise them for collaborating Taio Cruz, an idea that on paper sounds less appealing than Jedward on helium and stimulants. Truth is, McFly have done exactly what needs to be done to ensure their fans and critics are kept happy and respectful, whilst doing everything that should keep them commercial. Counterbalancing the more "relevant" sound with lyrics about the struggles and strifes of difficult relationships with an adult contemporary twist, they've complimented the heavier electropop tracks like 'Party Girl' with very pleasing results.
Here's the video: Have you noticed, how in every video since their new sound discovery they're flaunting their guitars? It's almost like they don't want us to forget they can actually still play them. Mind you, they've always put their guitars in their videos, haven't they?
Poor Dougie. It's a very apt video, actually.
'That's The Truth', whilst playing victim to a climax that doesn't really climax, musically, and a few of those spitzy hand claps Dallas Austin is so fond of, manages to come across as a refreshing piece of pop with great vocals and even better lyrics to boot.

Ellien unelma tuli toteen, National Lottery Show

"Ellie’s dream meeting
DREAMS came true for a Wigan youngster when McFly guitarist Danny Jones visited a new arts club.
Danny, who is originally from Bolton, made the visit to St Anthony’s Centre in Horwich to give his support to Club imag1ne, an exciting new venture for youngsters with special needs, before taking to the stage with his bandmates as the headline act at KiDs Charity Masquerade Ball at the Reebok Stadium, organised by footballer Kevin Davies.
Ellie Greenaway, aged 15 from Tyldesley, who attends Fred Longworth School, said: “It was lovely to meet Danny. I love McFly and it’s brilliant that he’s here.”
The club, which meets every Tuesday at Bolton Arena for evenings of games, arts, drama and friendship, is staffed by highly qualified and experienced staff and offers membership to people between the ages of 10 and 30.
Impressed with the club and its facilities and with the promise to help the group in any way he can, Danny said: “I’m delighted to see these youngsters having this opportunity and having so much fun!
“It’s great for kids to be involved in music and productions and just generally being creative and expressing themselves.
“People have creative sides, whatever their abilities, and this group is letting young people express that. This is a group I really want to support.”

"Hundreds flock to see McFly's return to Marlborough
McFly fans swarmed into Marlborough again in their hundreds last night when members of the boy band made their second visit to the town’s music shop Sound Knowledge in the space of three months.
Lead vocalist Danny Jones and guitarist Tom Fletcher were booked to appear at Sound Knowledge to sign copies of their new single That’s the Truth but there was a bonus for the McFly fans when Harry Judd, who had visited the music store last November with Dougie Poynter, turned up as well.
A queue stretched from the music store the length of Hughenden Yard and then along the High Street for another 60 to 70 metres.
In November it was estimated between 600 and 700 McFly fans had patiently waited their turn to get their CD’s and autograph books signed by the band but on Monday one of the stewards controlling the queue and letting the fans into the shop in small groups said: “I think there are even more this time.”
One of the most patient people in the queue had to be grandmother Gwen Ball from Collingbourne Ducis who admitted she was not a McFly fan but was queuing to get their autographs for her 14-year-old granddaughter Amy Hopkins who boards at Warminster and could not get the afternoon off.
Mrs Ball was at the head of the human crocodile waiting outside the store and waited from noon until after 5pm to get the treasured signatures of the three McFly members for Amy.
Mrs Ball said: “It will be worth it when I see the look on her face when I hand her their autographs.”
The most ardent fan had to be Edward Scipio, 12, of Owen Close in Devizes who is confined to a wheelchair with cerebral palsy and who arrived early with his mother to make sure he was among the first to meet them.
Edward, who attends Threeways School in Bath had taken the day off to meet his heroes, said his mother Sharon, who added: “His bedroom is covered in their pictures and he rarely misses them when they appear on television.
“We are going to see them in Birmingham in two weeks time and they have invited Edward backstage to meet them."
The three McFly members had good news for their fans, assuring them that Dougie Poynter, who is taking a break from the band would definitely join them on their UK tour which starts at Sheffield on March 18.
Tom Fletcher said: “He is in rehab at the moment recovering from being down and stressed but he is getting better although he did need a few weeks rest.
“He is not going to miss any of the tour dates.”

"McFly dress up as superheroes to amuse Dougie
McFly have decided fellow band member Dougie Poynter is in desperate need of cheering up.
The foursome has decided to wear superhero costumes for their up-coming arena tour.
The boys were set to kick off their ‘Above the Noise’ tour early this month. The band have decided to postpone the first gig until the 18th March so their band mate can have a rest before the jam packed arena tour begins.
Ever the cheeky chappies, the boys have decided to have a superhero themed tour to bring some light heartedness to the recent sadness in Mr Poynter’s life.
Danny explains, “Our set is superhero themed. It’s like something out of Spiderman and Batman.”
Whatever the theme we’re sure the tour will be amazing. We just hope that Dougie makes a speedy recovery and realises he has thousands of adoring fans ready to help him get over Frankie."

"McFly out to get Reebok on song
ONE of Bolton’s biggest music stars has been tasked with finding a tune to rock the Reebok.
Wanderers fan Danny Jones – known by millions as the front man of pop group McFly – has been asked to conjure up a song that could be used as an official club anthem to boost the matchday atmosphere.
Jones, from Bromley Cross, was back in town with his band last weekend to perform at Kevin Davies’s charity masquerade ball, which raised more than £138,000 for local causes.
And speaking to The Bolton News, the 24-year-old musician revealed that the club had laid down two musical challenges to him on the night.
“The Bolton chairman Phil Gartside said ‘I’ve got a favour to ask – how do I get these fans singing. Can you write me a song?,” Jones said.
“That’s probably one of the biggest challenges I have ever come across in my life.
“How do we get the Bolton people singing?
“So, that’s a challenge I have got to do in my life. I'll let you know when it comes out.”
Fans have voiced mixed opinions over the club’s recent decision to play Depeche Mode’s ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ after each goal Wanderers score.
But they will have few complaints if Jones is successful in his second task – penning a song to lead the club into an FA Cup final.
The Whites take on Birmingham City in the quarter-finals, where victory could land them a semi-final at Wembley.
And if they make the last four, Jones has promised to be first in line to write the official song.
“I’d love to do a Cup Final song, it would be awesome,” he said.
“I would be there in all my gear. I love football.
“I watched Wanderers when I was a youngster at Burnden. I had a season ticket at the Reebok.
“I moved to London when I was 16 so I missed a lot of games. But I always keep tabs on what's going on.
“They always look after me when I come home. I really do love it.”
The current Wanderers squad already have some form with FA Cup ditties, with Kevin Davies admitting recently that he had a helping hand in Chesterfield’s 1997 ode ‘We Can Build Our Dreams,’ performed by Caught in the Akt.
The tune never charted, but the club skipper reckons it is worth a look.
“It went to number one in the Chesterfield charts,” he joked."

"Pop-stardom hits Evesham as McFly comes to town
HUNDREDS of screaming fans packed into Evesham's Riverside Shopping Centre as pop stardom hit the Vale this week.
Chart-topping band McFly were in town to promote their new single That's The Truth at Rapture Entertainment.
Originally scheduled to visit on Monday (March 7) the band were forced to put back their appearance 24 hours after illness hit band member Dougie Poynter.
But more than 500 fans still flocked to the store on Tuesday (March 8) to see their idols Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Harry Judd in the flesh.
The band arrived at just after 5pm but the entrance was so packed they had to sneak in the back door. They then spent more than three hours chatting to fans and signing copies of their CD making sure everyone went home happy.
Natalie Boyles, store manager, said the whole day had been a bit of a whirlwhind.
"It was an absolutely fantastic day, quite manic in parts but it went really, really well," she said.
"There must have been more than 500 people here, it was jam packed, and we sold around 600 singles.
"The guys were really nice and stayed until 8.30pm making sure they saw everyone who had come to see them.
"We're the only independent record store left in Worcestershire, so to get a band the size of McFly to come along was a really great coup."

"McFly are back and they’re all grown up
“We flew into America from Madrid and from the moment we landed it was mad,” says Tom. “We’d heard Dallas had a bit of a party reputation. We got to his studio, an amazing, slightly intimidating place – there were discs for Boyz II Men and Michael Jackson on the wall – and we played him some demos and explained what we were thinking for the new sound.
“It was all going really well and then he got a text message through on his phone and said ‘so do you boys want to come and meet Elton John, then?’
“He was in Atlanta at the time and was supposed to be going for dinner that night. Dallas said he was meeting up with us and Elton said, ‘OK, bring them along. I’d like to meet them.’ We were so tired. It’s 10 o’clock at night by now and we’re jetlagged.”
Elton told them that he played his first ever show at the end of the road they live on.
Yes, McFly were growing up under some auspicious musical wings.
“What was amazing to us,” says Tom, “Was that he (Dallas) really liked and respected us. We recorded the first melody line for Party Girl into his phone in a club. We’d do an hour in the studio and then three hours out somewhere. That one hour in the studio was worth every ten hours we’d done before.”
The new material has a robust edge.
“We just didn’t have any fear,” says Tom, “We learnt to completely rethink what McFly could be.”

"Forget that pie, Harry, why don't you tuck into us?
McFly have been talking about willies and sex! McFly have been talking about willies and sex! Willies! Sex! Willies!
OK, that’s enough. Promoting their new single That’s The Truth all over the place, the pesky McFly boys know exactly how to get into the headlines. Well, our headlines.
Harry told this week’s Star magazine: “Somebody asked us if we’d do a JLS and do a condom range and we said we’d go one further and do a range of sex toys!”
“They will be the least pleasurable dildos ever!”
We could come over and be the judge of that by testing out the prototype? No? Bit seedy? Sure. McFly also admitted that they’d all slept with fans, although we’d kind of guessed that from Danny’s thrush admission in our video last week.
Danny said: “We’ve all slept with fans, apart from Tom!”
Harry added: ““Yep, we’ve all tucked into a fan, when we were unattached, obviously.”
Poor little Dougie, who must have been a part of the interview before he trotted along to rehab, also opened up about his recent split from, Frankie Saturdays. He said: “Look, it’s cool – so long as she’s happy, that’s all I can ask for. Although I wanted to date Wayne Bridge, so I’m a bit jealous, to be honest. I’m gonna do one better. I’m gonna have an affair with Wayne Rooney. Prostitute myself.”
If we do a quick whip around the office, we could rustle up about seven quid? Either that or Dougie could probably find a nice sex addict who’d be happy to dress up like Wayne Rooney in rehab.
PS If you’re wondering what’s going on in this picture, McFly and the Wanted had a pie eating competition on Daybreak yesterday. No, we don’t know why."

"Band drops in for a McFlying visit
HUNDREDS of fans lined up for a chance to meet the pop-rock band McFly at a record shop in Marlborough yesterday.
Three of the four members - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Harry Judd - were at Sound Knowledge, off the High Street, to sign copies of their new single That’s The Truth.
The group, who had spent the morning performing in London, have visited the town before and said they enjoyed it so much they decided to return.
Harry said: “It’s my second time. Me and Dougie were here last time and we had a good time.
“I have got a friend I met on holiday who turned up to the signing so I went around to her pub after the signing. And I have got some very good family friends who go to Marlborough College.
“The number of fans is overwhelming.
“Having been together for pushing eight years it is amazing that we still manage to draw a crowd and we hope to meet everyone and thank them for their support.”
The group revealed that Dougie Poynter, who is backing vocals and bass guitar, was not there because he is in rehab for stress.
Tom said: “Dougie is in rehab at the moment recovering from being a bit down and stressed so he is just getting better and he needed to take a few weeks’ rest.
“He isn’t going to miss any of the tour dates.”

"McFly's Danny Jones: I don't give a sh*t what Frankie Sandford does
Dougie Poynter's bandmate isn't interested in what Frankie's up to with Wayne Bridge.
While Dougie Poynter is in rehab dealing with his demons and struggling to get over his split from Frankie Sandford, his McFly bandmates want to give him their support.
'[Dougie] doesn't speak to Frankie,' Danny Jones, 24 revealed recently.
'I haven't had a one-to-one chat with him since it happened because we've been so busy with the tour.
'But I said to him last week, "We need to have a catch up".
'He's living with Tom at the moment, so that's good.'
Danny doesn't think Saturdays stunner Frankie's new relationship with West Ham footballer Wayne Bridge, 30, will last.
'No, I don't think so,' he says.
'I personally couldn't give a sh*t what she does.
'She can do what she likes.'
McFly confirmed on Saturday that Dougie's taking 'a few weeks' rest' in the Priory before the band begin their tour - the first 3 days of which have been postponed."

"McFly Star To Release Dance Album
McFly frontman Danny Jones is working on a new solo project without the rest of the band.
The singer reveals he's recording a dance album, which he'll be releasing in the future.
"I'm a huge dance music fan and I spend all my time making it," Danny explains.
"It was just a hobby at first but I'm putting together an album. I've invested loads of money building a studio at home.
"I don't want it to step in the way of McFly stuff so I'm planning on releasing it under a different name," Jones told the Daily Star.
"I've been working with Roger Sanchez, but the stuff I make is more progressive house like Eric Prydz or Afrojack."

"McFly star Danny vows to support arts club
POP star Danny Jones has pledged to help raise money for a Bolton club for youngsters with special needs.
The McFly singer met members of arts and drama group Imag1ne during a visit to his home town on Saturday.
He spent time talking to the teenagers, finding out about the club and posing for photographs.
Danny, from Bromley Cross, was so impressed that he has promised to help the new group in any way he can.
The 24-year-old said: “I am here to show my support to the group.
“When I was at school, there wasn’t enough time for music, arts and other creative things.
“People have creative sides, whatever their abilities, and this group is letting these young people express that. I would love to get involved. I will go along to a charity night or give things to an auction or do anything else I can to help. This is a group I really want to support.”
Danny’s visit proved to be a hit with youngsters from Imag1ne, who had been looking forward to meeting their idol.
Ellie Greenaway, aged 15, from Tyldesley, said: “It was lovely to meet Danny. I love McFly and it’s brilliant that he’s here.”
Her mum, Andrea, said: “It’s very exciting that Danny has come here.
It’s brilliant for Imag1ne to get someone with such a high-profile to support it.
“Ellie loves McFly so she’s been really looking forward to meeting Danny. She’s had an amazing day.”
Danny met the youngsters at St Anthony’s Chapel, in Chorley New Road, Horwich, after being invited by the group’s director, Mo Packwood.
She said: “I heard Danny was in the area, so I invited him to come and support us.
“It’s fantastic for the young people to meet their idol, especially because he comes from Bolton and has made a career from music.”
Imag1ne meets on Tuesday evenings at Bolton Arena and is open to people aged 10 to 30with special needs.

"Pictures: Bolton Wanderers' Kevin Davies joined by McFly at charity ball
It was a double celebration for Bolton Wanderers’ Kevin Davies on Saturday.
For, not only did his team beat Aston Villa 3-2, the striker later switched his shorts for a suit to host his very glitzy masquerade ball, in aid of his charity KiDs of Bolton.
Amongst the famous faces at the glamorous bash, which was held in the premier suite at the Reebok Stadium, were members of McFly, including Bolton lad Danny Jones.
They were joined by Iain Dowie as well as a number of Kevin’s teammates, including David Wheater, Ricardo Gardner, Paul Robinson, Fabrice Muamba and Gary Cahill, who scored two goals in Saturday’s game, along with Bolton manager Owen Coyle.
And indeed, not only did McFly and Britain’s Got Talent classical quartet Escala take to the stage, but so too did a surprise guest – none other than Peter Kay!
My source tells me that while Paddy McGuinness wasn’t there in person, he did appear on screen to introduce Peter, who entertained the crowd with his stand-up.
And the event scored another goal with the charity taking to its Facebook page to announce that the night raised a very impressive £117,000."

"Dougie Poynter: 'I've found my wife'
Dougie Poynter has revealed that he has a new love interest.
The guitarist, who last month admitted that he still has feelings for ex-girlfriend Frankie Sandford, said that he doesn't know the name of the violinist he's attracted to yet.
The 23-year-old told Now: "I think I've found my wife. I don't know her name yet, though."
The McFly band member also confessed that he doesn't feel confident about his appearance.
He added: "When people say 'be yourself', it freaks me out. When I'm naked I look like a Scotch egg with 4 toothpicks coming out and a pea stuck on top."

"McFly set to return to Marlborough
Pop mania is expected to return to Marlborough on Monday when three members of the chart topping band McFly clock in for a signing session.
Last November between 600 to 700 fans turned out when two members of the band, singer Dougie Poynter and drummer Harry Judd, arrived for a similar visit to the music store Sound Knowledge in Hughenden Yard.
Fans from as far away as Oxford and Bristol queued along the High Street as they waited to meet the boys on the day McFly’s latest album, Above the Noise, was released.
A similar massive turnout is expected on Monday when the other two band members, lead vocalist Danny Jones and guitarist Tom Fletcher, arrive at Sound Knowledge along with Dougie Poynter to sign copies of their new single, That’s The Truth.
Shop owner Roger Mortimer said: “We were expecting just Danny and Tom on Monday because Dougie and Harry came in November but I have had a call to say that Dougie will also be joining them.”
He said it was important that those wishing to attend should register their interest by calling the shop on (01672) 511106 so that an estimate of numbers could be made.
On their visit in November Dougie and Harry spent some time with former St John’s School student Robert Dobie, 16, who was at death’s door the previous Christmas after contracting food poisoning.
Robert, who lives in Rabley Wood View and is now at Swindon College, said: “I was thrilled to meet Dougie and Harry last time and I will definitely be there on Monday to meet Dougie again with Danny and Tom.”

Dougie ilmoittautui "kuntoutukseen"

"McFly's Dougie Poynter checks into rehab
Broken-hearted Dougie Poynter has checked himself into rehab after struggling to cope with his split from Saturdays star Frankie Sandford.
The McFly guitarist had thought he would settle down for life with the girl of his dreams, but his hopes were shattered when the stunning singer dumped him last November.
And Dougie just couldn’t get over the split. In fact, I can reveal the star has spent the past four weeks in the Priory getting his head straight ahead of the McFly Above The Noise nation- wide tour which kicks off in a few weeks. Dougie, 23, who’s been one of my favourite drinking buddies over the years, is now said to be doing well after treatment and is nearly ready to come out and face the music once more.
A source close to the star tells me: “Dougie was absolutely heartbroken when Frankie dumped him. He saw himself getting married and having kids and being with her for life. And he was just crushed. It got to the point where he was struggling to get through the day so he decided to seek help at the Priory clinic. He’s been in there working hard on getting his head straight. He’s not had a phone or been in touch with any of the band. But they’re backing him all the way and hoping he comes out a far happier person.”
The cheeky star started dating Frankie in January 2009 before they split in March 2010. They got back together a month later before finally parting company last November.
Dougie revealed in his last interview before rehab that he was devastated, saying: “I don’t think I’m over it yet. Something like that could take years. It’s just time.”
But one thing that couldn’t have helped the star seeing Frankie – voted one of FHM’s sexiest women in 2010 – move on so quickly. She is now dating West Ham footballer Wayne Bridge. The pair were first spotted together in January and she has all but moved in to his pad.
I truly hope Dougie gets himself back on his feet – he’s a great guy. I’m told he will be fit as a fiddle for the tour later this month. Altogether now... phew!"
Daily Mirror

"We talk to McFly about all the important issues (pigeons, sexing, cats and Danny's third nipple)
Interviewing McFly is always a pleasant experience – they’re nice to look at, they’re unpretentious and they quite like talking about sex. Hence why we’ve interviewed them 48 times over the past year.
Although Dougie was missing due to man flu (McFlu! BAD JOKE), we ambled along to interview the boys earlier this week. Meeting them in north London, where they’re currently rehearsing for their UK tour which kicks off this month, we decided to play a game of ‘true or false’ with McFly. Not just because we’re journalists and always striving to find the truth (what a load of old bollocks), but because their new single is called That’s The Truth.
It was during this entirely original game that we discovered Danny has four nipples, Tom only likes to talk about cats and Harry crashed his car on Sunday.
Now bugger off and watch the video.
